Smart extends unlimited LTE, bares regular pricing

In a press release sent posted yesterday, Smart announced that they are extending their introductory promo for unlimited LTE from April 30 to June 30. In the same announcement, they also revealed the regular prices for mobile LTE.

Smart iPhone 5 subs get free LTE until April 30

Apple released the iOS 6.1 update the iPhone 5 earlier today and both Smart and Globe subscribers have had their iPhone 5 handset activated for LTE. Smart then announced they are giving subs free, unlimited access to their LTE network until April 30.

Internet-enabled TV ownership in PH has almost tripled

Our fellow countrymen seemed to have been trading their fat-assed CRT TVs for the thinner flat panel TV at an increasing rate according to a research done by GfK Philippines. In addition to this, 6% (37,000 units) of the total flat panel TV sold in the country are Internet-enabled TVs.

Smart today held the commercial launch of their LTE service in the Philippines. This puts Smart as the first commercial provider of 42Mbps LTE service in the country.
