Just before we left Taiwan last week from the week-long Computex event, we scouted around for some gadgets to bring home and one of the items on top of our list was the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. Unfortunately, we didn’t push thru with it since we couldn’t withdraw any cash from the local ATM.
Though not yet officially launched in the Philippines, the Xperia Tablet Z has showed up in Villman’s website and priced at a higher price than what we expected.
The Xperia Tablet S is Sony’s 10-inch slate from last year that packs a good set of hardware and an unusual design. With the Xperia Tablet Z on the way, let’s find out if this tablet is still worth looking into by reading our full review.
April has arrived and while some are enjoying some April Fool’s prank, let’s take a look at the reviews we’ve done last month.
We’ve been so engrossed with smartphones, tablets and several other consumer technologies. In fact, some of current tech seems to be overkill already – such as 1080p displays on a 5-inchsmartphone and multi-core CPUs in which platforms aren’t even fully optimized for yet. As time goes, manufacturers look to other elements to perfect and now [...]
The Aspire S7 is a 3rd-generation ultrabook from Acer and has incorporated a full touchscreen IPS LCD with Windows 8. Touted as one of the thinnest and sexiest ultrabook in the market, we were able to purchase a unit for review. Check out our verdict on the Acer Aspire S7 after the break.
Late last week, Sony Philippines sent us their latest Android tablet — the Xperia Tablet S. I promptly asked for the suggested retail price and local availability.
Sony just had a regional launch of the Xperia Z line last week in Singapore and today, they’ve also announced the tablet counterpart. The Xperia Tablet Z brings power into a super thin body.
We finally have close-up shots of the Asus Padfone 2. While this is not the fist time we’ve seen the handset (first time was in San Diego back in November with one of the Russian delegates), this is was more close-up and hands-on.
Each year, we review hundreds of gadgets and one of the indicators that it is a hot item is the number of people who read our reviews (on top of the shares, FB likes and retweets). In 2012, smartphones continue to dominate the line-up. Here are our top 25 gadgets that we reviewed on YugaTech.
Every end of the year since 3 years ago, we’d mount a huge giveaway to our readers here in YugaTech as well are our Twitter followers and Facebook Fans. This year is no exception and we’re giving away more than 30 gadgets and accessories.
It is Christmas season, and most of us are already looking for gifts to give, gifts to ask for and gifts for ourselves (13th month pays? Self-rewarding?). A lot, surely, are keeping an eye on gadgets.
Microsoft Philippines has announced today the availability of Windows 8 for local consumers following the global launch announcement last October 26, 2012.
We all know that tablets come in all shapes and sizes so for the sake of categorizing, we’ve narrowed it down to two sizes; there’s the 7-inchers and the above 7-inch tablets. Now if you’re in the search for an ample-sized slate, here’s our top 5 tablets above 7-inches which we think we’ll give the [...]
So it’s now official — Sony’s latest tablet is the sleeker, thinner Xperia Tablet S and we hear that this model will surely reach the Philippines later this year.
We posted our review of the Sony Xperia S a couple of months ago and now its smaller siblings are here to complete the line-up. Check out our full review of the Sony Xperia P after the break.
Sony Philippines brought us to Shangri-la Mactan in Cebu last Tuesday for a little bit of rest and relaxation as well as to witness the unveiling of their new line of Bravia Internet TVs plus a few other interesting products.
Announced back in September 2011 at IFA in Germany, the Sony Tablet P is yet to be launched in the Philippines. I spotted this foldable touchscreen Android tablet at one of the Duty Free stores at a Taiwan airport.
Samsung very first tablet came out about 2 years ago. Since then, the Korean company has outed half a dozen other tablets with ranging sizes and form factors (from 5.0, 5.3 to 7.7, 8.9 & 10.1 inches). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is basically a refresh of the very first model. Check out our [...]
This is part of my year-ender series for 2011. We’ve done a ton of gadget reviews for 2011 and one of the key indicators that a gadget is hot or very interesting is by the number of pageviews it gets thru the years. Check out which devices got the most hits in 2011 after the [...]
The year 2011 saw tons of really great products, most of which I ended up buying for review here at YugaTech. I look back at 2011 and share the top gadgets we bought and reviewed this year. And, hopefully, you will also share what you’ve purchased too.
I did three TV guestings/interviews today (all about Top Tech Trends of 2011) and while I’m waiting for the 4th one this afternoon, I thought I’d ask our readers here about the best gadgets that came out in 2011.
The Sony-Ericsson Xperia Arc S did not deviate much from the original Arc except for the bump in processor speed (and the additional colored variant) so it’s not really a huge improvement, in my opinion. Nevertheless, those extra clock cycles will certainly be of help once your handset needs it. Check out our full review [...]
When we visited the Pyung-Taek Factory the other day, we saw a number of laptops and netbooks made by LG and being sold in Korea. Been wondering why LG didn’t brought these units to sell in the Philippines and now I think I know why.
One of my more nagging problems with a lot of locally available netbooks is the low resolution screen. While 1024 x 600 pixels is fine for regular web browsing, there are important softwares out there that require higher resolution and just wouldn’t work with most netbooks.
