Dear Sun Cellular

An old friend asked me to post this on my blog, hoping Sun Cellular would listen and read:

Opening a New Sun Cellular Account

To Whom It May Concern:

Last 18MAR06 I applied for a new Sun Cellular account. I have passed
the necessary requirements as stated in your website.

1. Completely filled-up application form.

2. Valid ID – SSS ID.

3. A. Proof of Billing

– Electricity Bill
– Water Bill

I live in a condominium where the electric and water bills do not bear
the names Meralco or MWSS.

B. Proof of Income – Form 2316 and last 2 payslips.

I vividly remember the lady attending my application informing me to expect 2-3 days processing time. Great!

After 1 week I receive a call requesting for additional statements. Recalling that the statements I provided (water and electricity bills) might not be acceptable, I decided to forward my last 2 credit card statements. I intentionally crossed out my credit card numbers.

Today (28 of March ’06) I receive a call informing me to submit another creditcard statement with my credit card numbers revealed. I will do no such thing and I demand a valid explanation. Anybody in their right mind will not disclose their credit card information to anyone who already has one’s personal information.

I believe I have submitted the necessary requirements. Either you approve my application or not, I don’t really care anymore. I’m no longer excited.

This will definitely fall on deaf ears. Prove me wrong by giving me a response. You know how to reach me.

Chester Cheng

The Million Dollar HomePage 2.0?

Apparently, Alex Tew, the guy behind the Million Dollar Home Page is gunning for his 2nd million.

He has posted an ad for the job here and you can bid for the 2-month fulltime programming job at Freelancers.net:

The project itself is the complete back-end development for a new, totally unique website. The system will require a whole variety of features, everything from customer accounts to integration with payment processors. It will also need to be very sturdy, as the site is almost certainly going to receive a huge amount of traffic, and the system itself will have to cope with thousands (and possibly tens of thousands) of customers and asssociated information.

I don’t know what twist and turns will Alex Tew do to replicate his first success but I hope it would be something crazier or completely whacked out as every possible clone of his original idea has already been spawned without much success.

The Video Baton

Just got the video baton meme from Jaypee. I guess almost every other blogger knows about the musical baton. This one’s for movies, so here goes…

Total Number of Films I own on DVD and Video : 120+ VCDs & 40+ DVDs

The Last Film I Bought : Wimbeldon (2004)

Five (5) Films Which I Watch A Lot/ Mean A Lot To Me :

Hitch (2005)
The cure for the common man.
Alex ‘Hitch’ Hitchens: “One dance, one look, one kiss, that’s all we get, Albert. Just… one shot, to make the difference between happily ever after, and oh? he’s just some guy I went to some thing with once.”

Along Came a Spider (2001)
Alex Cross: “To be brutally honest, I think you have a morbid desire to burn in hell.”

Star Wars I – The Phantom Menace (1999)
Every generation has a legend. Every journey has a first step. Every saga has a beginning.
Senator Palpatine: “There is no civility, only politics.”

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)
Mishaps. Mayhem. Misadventures. Oh joy.
Count Olaf: [as Stephano] “Children are strange and foreign to me. I never was one. I do know they are an important part of the ecosystem… ”

The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
Everything that has a beginning has an end.
Merovingian: “It is remarkable how similar the pattern of love is to the pattern of insanity.”

So I was tagged, and so will I — Micketymoc, Rain, Michael, Markku & Connie. I would have tagged more, but I think I’m allowed just four five so I randomly selected from a bunch of 12 blogs.
