Relevance: 100%      Posted on: January 22, 2014

Sony Japan has just made official the WiFi-only tablet version of its popular large-screened smartphone, the Xperia Z Ultra. With a 6.4-inch display, the original Xperia Z Ultra is already a tablet on its own. A rough translation of the Japanese webpage calls it the Xperia Georgette Ultra. Specs remain the same as the original Ultra - 6.4-inch full HD display, 6.5mm thin IP58-certified body, 8 megapixel rear…

So TechCrunch had the JooJoo and now YugaTech has an Android Tablet. I'd like to share a sneak peek at the upcoming YugaTech DroPad we had designed with our Taiwanese partner, FoxConn. It's not yet finished and what I have here is just a prototype of a 7-inch Android-powered tablet. I wanted to get some feedback from YugaTech readers and maybe share some photos before we finalize this device. Can't really share the complete specs but what I can say is that the device will have support for 3G/HSDPA, WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth, an 8GB internal storage, SD card slot

Relevance: 85%      Posted on: July 1, 2013

Just days after we released our full review of the Xperia Tablet Z, Sony Philippines has made the gorgeous 10-inch tablet available nationwide through their concept stores. Read on for the full details. The one that we have for review was a 16GB Wi-Fi only version which currently retails for Php27,500 on e-tailers. On the other hand, Sony’s selling the LTE-enabled version with the same internal storage and they’re asking Php35,990 for it. We’re not entirely sure what to make out of Sony PH's pricing, because the tablet is marginally cheaper in other countries where it was also being retailed.…

LG UX10, yet another tablet

Relevance: 80%      Posted on: June 1, 2010

Looks like 2010 is fast becoming the year of the tablet PC. LG also showed their tablet prototype at Computex called the LG UX10. It's another Windows 7 powered tablet/slate PC with a (somewhat) netbook configuration -- a 10.1" LED display, Intel Atom Z530 1.66GHz, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 1GB RAM, SD card slot, 1.3MP webcam and micro-HDMI port. It's also got a high-capacity battery (7200mAh) to boot {via}. This reminds me of that digital photo-frame LG Electronics gave us during our last visit to Korea. It was the one I used in my April Fool's joke (YugaTech Android Tablet). I…
