Relevance: 87%      Posted on: August 15, 2011

We got confirmation from reps of Samsung (the ones stationed in Rockwell) that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500) will finally be released this August 21, 2011. The suggested retail price for the Galaxy Tab 101.1 3G with 32GB is Php34,990. There's no official word on the release date of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 but our info on the retail price posted here earlier seems to hold some ground. The SRP is very close to a 32GB iPad 2 3G which sells for Php35,990. Read our full review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 here. Hat tip to Raymond Liong.

Mac vs. Windows: The “McDo WiFi Guide” Revelation

Relevance: 69%      Posted on: July 26, 2011

This McDonald's brochure for the store's WiFi Guide paints a clear picture between the Windows and the Mac OS X operating systems; but that really depends on where you're coming from. The brochure shows step-by-step instructions on how to connect to the McDo WiFi and it clearly shows the Windows operating system taking 2 out fo the 3 pages while it's barely half a page for the Mac {via}. There's a catch though -- the instructions for connecting WiFi on Windows OS includes 3 variants -- XP, Vista and Win 7; while on the Mac, it's just one (they didn't…

Relevance: 65%      Posted on: December 7, 2011

The crew from ANC came by this afternoon to do another shoot about Christmas Gadget Gift Ideas. Was at the studio of Future Perfect last week to tape this same segment so this is more like a continuation. Actually, I almost missed that taping because of the heavy traffic (took the MRT in the middle of the drive to ABS) and since I was in a hurry, I forgot my bag of goodies in the car. The ones that I brought were already shown by @artsamaniego in the previous gap (Galaxy Note, iPhone 4S, Huawei E586). The re-shoot was done…

Netbook Rating Buyer’s Guide

Relevance: 64%      Posted on: May 28, 2009

With the dozens and dozens of emails I get about people looking for recommendations on which netbook to buy, I thought it would be better if I could round them all up and do a "buyer's guide" of sorts. The guide is composed of 5 categories I believe is very relevant to consumer buying decisions — feature, design, battery life, price and value for money — each of which will be given a score between 0 to 10, 10 being the highest and zero the lowest. Of the 5 categories, 2 are objective ratings -- price and battery life --…

At Php9k, you can start to get that said experience with the Asus MemoPad HD…
