Relevance: 100%      Posted on: September 6, 2008

Healthy competition drives prices down and at the end of the day, consumers win. So it's not a surprise that Globe Telecom has dropped its Globe Visibility Mobile Prepaid kit down to just Php3,500. If you check out their new ad, the listing already reflects the new price. Globe started offering their new prepaid and postpaid plans for Visibility back in June 23 when we first reported it here. This could be a response to the SmartBro 3G Price Cuts on the prepaid kits (Php3,800). What's a bit curious though is the difference between the pricing schedule on overage for

Smart vs. Globe iPhone 5s, 5c Prepaid Kit Prices

Relevance: 90%      Posted on: November 8, 2013

Smart and Globe has finally releaved their postpaid plans for the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c. While they've not highlighted the retail prices, we've dug up the exact prepaid prices for each model and variant. Smart's pricing for the prepaid kit is derived from the Freedom Plan which is basically considered a prepaid plan as well. The difference between the two isn't that wide but generally, Smart's prices are a little higher. That's a stark contrast from last year's pricing where Smart was offering the most affordable prepaid price of the iPhone 5. You can check the postpaid plans…

Globe implements Load Watch for Prepaid Subs

Relevance: 90%      Posted on: March 1, 2012

This was shared to us by the folks from Globe Telecom last February 14 but I completely forgot about it. I only remembered it again when I used the prepaid SIM card they gave me to test on the HTC Titan. In any case, the concept is pretty simple -- you get an SMS alert every time you use your load credits. So when you make a phone call, once you hang up, Globe will send you an SMS how much load you have left. This will give you an idea of your running balance and be updated of your…

Globe Visibility Mobile 3G goes Prepaid

Relevance: 88%      Posted on: June 23, 2008

This was just texted to me by a contact from Globe -- that their Visibility plans are now available in prepaid -- a move that directly competes with SmartBro Prepaid. This is on top of their postpaid GV 799 and GV 999 plans I reported earlier. Naturally, the Globe Visibility Prepaid plan allows for per minute charging of Php5 for every 15 minutes. The starter kit costs Php4,500 (one time) with free setup fee. Likewise, Globe has terminated their Globe Visibility Unlimited plans (the one that costs Php3,000 a month for unlimited Mobile 3G internet). No explanation was given why…

Relevance: 87%      Posted on: February 20, 2015

Prepaid load, or the insufficiency or lack of one, has always been the main hurdle for continuous communication with our friends and loved ones. This is the reason why Globe Telecoms, in partnership with its sister company Touch Mobile (TM) launched a new initiative that will limit, if not eliminate these situation, by allowing prepaid patrons to loan a load denominations and/or subscription to prepaid promos/services. The newly-launched campaign is similar in nature to previous initiatives that Globe and all the other local service providers have done on previous natural calamities. Unlike the Ayala-owned telco’s current Emergency SMS Service offer,…
