Toshiba NB200 gets a WiFi Radar

Relevance: 94%      Posted on: July 15, 2009

I've mentioned Toshiba's own netbook here on a couple of occasion and have been spotted in store shelves since last month. We got a better look at the netbook this afternoon along with a couple of other Toshiba multimedia laptops. The NB200 will come in very bright pink and blue but I prefer the brown or the white one. The specs are still the same standard list I pointed earlier. The suggested retail price of Php29,990 still stands -- a little steep on the price spectrum, IMO. Of course, there's option to upgrade to 2GB RAM and get a 6-cell…

Fort’s Radar-powered Traffic Speed Detection

Relevance: 72%      Posted on: May 4, 2010

I've seen this for over a month now every time I go to the Fort Bonifacio Global City and at first I thought it was nothing but then I encountered several motorists being flagged down by traffic enforcers. Turns out those LED signs aren't measuring the air temperature but the speed of cars passing by the monitors. If you're not familiar with how they look like, here's a photo I took today. The usual speed limits are 40kmph and 50 kmph. The LED signages will show the current speeds of approaching vehicles. If there are multiple cars coming in at…

Thermaltake Level 10 PC Case

Relevance: 64%      Posted on: March 8, 2009

Showcased at the CEBIT 2009 in Hannover, Germany is this special edition Level 10 PC case, created by Thermaltake and BMW Designworks. The chassis design has compartmentalized the slots for each part of the PC, each one having its own casing of sorts from the individual hard drive bays to the power supply. It's like wrapping the innards of a PC with carbon alloy and vaccuum-packed it {via}.  Only problem is see though is ventilation -- how will all the exhaust fans (if there are any) work then?

Are you the clumsy type of person who just keeps on dropping and breaking smartphones? Then this might be the kind of case you're destined for - the Smartphone Case N. A Honda-made smartphone case that comes equipped with emergency airbags. The Case N looks like a contraption designed to be used by the guys at NASA. The way it works is pretty simple, in case you drop your phone the sensors will activate the airbags and deploy them even before it hits the ground. It appears to be very effective but extremely bulky and ugly. Watch the demo video…

This new Smart Case 2 from Tangram arrived the other day and I immediately tried it out on my iPhone 4S. I am also told I can give one away to our readers here so head on below and check it out. The Tangram Smart Case looks like your typical slim and light housing for the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. What makes it unique…

And when you thought you've already seen this kind of case for the iPad 2 before, just wait 'til you open the front cover -- there's another flap that folds out two-thirds…

Apple files trademark case against MyPhone, loses

Relevance: 62%      Posted on: June 2, 2015

The Cupertino company Apple took notice of MyPhone's name and filed a trademark case against it. Fortunately for the local brand, the IPO dismissed it. Apple went against Solid Broadband Corp. which is the seller of MyPhone here in the Philippines and claimed that the company's brand name is "confusingly similar" to their iPhone branding and is "likely to deceive or cause confusion," ABS-CBN reports. "This is a case of a giant trying to claim more territory than what it is entitled to, to the great prejudice of a local "Pinoy Phone" merchant who has managed to obtain a significant…
