Samsung i900 Omnia Philippine Price

The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former. The Philippine price is pegged at Php34,000 for the 8GB version and Php38,000 for the 16GB -- unlocked and contract free (up to 32GB with external 16GB microSD card). This was due to the shortage of units coming in from flooded Thailand where most of the components come from. Xiaomi Mi-2 production begins on September 22

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has revealed that they will start production of the Mi-2 quad-core smartphone on September 22 with a planned release in October. Microsoft’s ‘Windows 9’ event on September 30

The next major version of Windows is definitely around as Microsoft sends out invites for an event that promises a peak of "what's next for Windows and the enterprise." The event will take place in San Francisco on September 30 with Joe Belfiore and Terry Myerson leading the pack. The Math on Globe’s iPhone 4 Price

So we finally got the official retail price of the iPhone 4 from Globe today and while the price point is within the expected range, it turns out it is more expensive by at least 12%.
