Atom N550 to bring sexy back to netbooks

Relevance: 99%      Posted on: August 24, 2010

Intel just announced a new Atom N550 processor with dual-core and hyper-threading (4HT) that might just bring sexy back to netbooks. While this is not the first dual-core Atom processor by Intel (Atom N330 was used in an Asus Eee PC 1201N netbook), it could be the one that will be widely used on upcoming netbooks. The two cores run at a much lower clock-rate at 1.5GHz but over-all TDP is lower at just 8.5W. The Atom D510 (for nettops) is 13W and while the Atom N330 is only 8W, it does not include the power consumption by the graphics…

Bing in HTML 5 brings sexy back to search

Relevance: 99%      Posted on: October 13, 2010

This video came out last month during the beta launch of Microsoft's IE9 and while I must admit the new browser is interesting, this video demo of Bing on HTML5 is pretty impressive. Demo starts at around 1:18 with a video background running on Bing's homepage. See clip below. Search has somewhat moved from being just on the homepage to becoming an integrated part of the browser (search bar). Microsoft's Bing wants to bring sexy back to search so you'd want to bookmark it and make it your default page.

If you didn't like the construction of the Samsung Series 9 laptop, I'm sure you'll probably drool over the recently announced Samsung Series 7, with its sleek aluminum body. Price starts at $999 (probably be Php49,999 when it hits the Philippines), the Series 7 laptop comes with an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. That chrome finish on the lid and brushed-metal finish on the palm rests, all made with aluminum, gives the Series 7 laptop a really cool and sexy look. Too bad they are only available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch form factor (which is a bit too big…

Jawbone 2: Bluetooth headphones can be sexy

Relevance: 76%      Posted on: August 2, 2008

Aliph returns with a new and sexier Jawbone 2 -- a Bluetooth headphone for the fashion-conscious, though I don't think we'd be able to see one of these being locally available here anytime soon. According to Aliph, the Jawbone just doesn't offer good looks but a little bit of science as well. - Noise Canceling - Voice Activity Sensor - Voice Activation Detection Can't really say much until I get my hands into one. They're a little expensive though (~$110). For now, my Jabra and Motorola headphones are stowed somewhere in the cabinet.

Asus U20A is sexy and expensive

Relevance: 76%      Posted on: August 6, 2009

Asus has come up with its very own ultra-low voltage and slim notebook line which practically goes head to head with the Acer Timeline, HP Pavillion DV2 and the Gateway LT series we've seen earlier. Of particular interest is the 12.1" Asus U20A notebook which is already available at PC Bodega. At first glance, the design looks like a bigger Asus Eee PC Seashell edition. It's not really a netbook but falls under the ultra-mobile notebook category. Asus U20A 12.1" display screen @ 1280x800 pixels Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 1.2GHz 4GB DDR2 RAM 500GB SATA HDD @ 5400rpm Intel…

Oppo Find 7 images leak, shows its sexy design

Relevance: 73%      Posted on: March 8, 2014

Coming to the Philippines this April, Oppo's next flagship phone is attracting a lot of hype. They have a great cameraphone with unique features and CyanogenMod right now called the N1, and their next, the Find 7, is expected to have two models with a 50 megapixel camera, a 5.5-inch 1080p/2K display, Snapdragon 800/801 and 2GB/3GB RAM. Now, new images of the device leak ahead of launch. It looks extremely thin and sleek from the angles exposed and from here we can confirm the dual-LED flash. The camera sensor doesn't stand out though, so the 50 megapixel detail can be quite sketchy.…
