Yuga meets the Kid Blogger

Relevance: 56%      Posted on: August 14, 2007

People have been calling and texting me all day yesterday. The common question -- is there a blog wars going on? I believe the Philippine blogging community is going through growth pains. I think it's a sign that we're maturing as a microcosm of the society we actually live in. And yes, this society is so full of characters, with differing opinions. All these will come to pass but for the meantime, let's all feel the pain. So I had dinner with father and son Allan and Carl Ocab last night. And here's my take on this issue... We originally…

10 Questions with Yuga on Bulletproof Vest

Relevance: 56%      Posted on: November 20, 2006

Just wanna share this link from Ben of Bulletproof Vest. This is prolly the ten most interesting questions thrown at me for the longest time. It's funny, quick and painless. ;) Check out the post: Ten Questions With Yugatech Excuse a typo or two. :) I'm off to the airport! P.S. The lotion story is true. One of my classmates didn't continue on our 5th year (Comp. Eng'ng) and went on to work for J&J as Senior Scientist. He was traveling all over Asia applying lotion to test skin sensivity of Asian girls.

Yuga visits Inquirer.net office

Now, that looks like a loaded title. *joke* I couldn't think of anything to match that one so I'll just copy it from Joey Alarilla's post over at the Inquirer.net Blogs (thanks for the coffee Joey, I know it should have been bottomless beer instead). The visit was actually about our interview for the 2007 Philippine Blog Awards and although Gail couldn't make it, Jayvee and I filled up her spot just fine. ;) You can watch the 16-minute vidcast uploaded on YouTube here. So, if some parts of the interview weren't clear, I'd say it here again. We just…

Introducing our homegrown Employment Social Network

Relevance: 53%      Posted on: February 25, 2013

We've been thinking about this new project for a long time now and it looks like we're already nearing our beta launch so I'd like to give a few folks an early preview of this site we're working on. We've been looking for a better jobs listing or jobs search site for a long time but most of the time we ended getting the recommendations of friends or former colleagues. This is the reason why we're building this site -- to get better employment recommendations, by friends or former officemates or anyone you worked with before. So instead of launching…

Sony Xperia Z and ZL official photos

Relevance: 41%      Posted on: January 3, 2013

Previously known as the Xperia Yuga and the Xperia Odin, these two new flagship handsets have been prematurely unveiled in a photo release. The two are now known as the Xperia Z and the Xperia ZL. The photos coincide with previous leaks of the phones here and here. The Sony Xperia Z comes with a 5-inch screen in a 1080p resolution while the Xperia ZL is the smaller but tougher model (perhaps, it's more like the Acro S). Both phones will likely to run on a quad-core Qualcomm SnapDragon S4 processor and 2GB of RAM. Sony Mobile is expected to…

Chitika adds channels, finally!

Relevance: 40%      Posted on: November 8, 2005

Chitika has introduced channels tracking, just like AdSense. This allows you to monitor ad performance from different positions and across sites. Really good if you implement it on multiple sites so you can check which ones are performing well over AdSense. This way, you could really optimize all ad combinations. I am still skeptical on the turn-out of the clicks I get since only the ones from the US and Europe are considered legit. I already have over a month of CTR data from Chitika but they're not audited yet so I can't make any conclusions yet about its effectivity…
