A “link bait” could cost up to $3,995

First of all, wow — $3,995 USD is a lot of moolah for a single effective linkbait!

So while Darren is doing a series on link baiting techniques, Todd Malicoat of Stuntdubl points to Andy Hagans as the “Master of Link Baiter”. Just look at his link baiting fees:

I am now offering a link baiting service on a limited basis.

The cost is $3,995 USD, paid upfront. (E-mail me for more payment details.)
What do we mean by “link baiting”?

Link baiting is really just a new term for viral marketing or viral link building.

Significant variation in return on investment: A typical piece of link bait that we execute could receive 70 organic links and 12,000 unique visitors in the first week after its release, or four organic links and 650 unique visitors in the first week. We work very hard to achieve a high level of success, but the inherent unpredictability of the blogosphere and social bookmarking sites makes it impossible for us to guarantee specific results.

Hmmm… first ever business out of linkbaiting I’ve heard and looks like it’s a lucrative one.
