This has been blogged about by a lot of people for several days now but I’d like to echo or butt in on this new link bait over at Text Link Ads.
The new link hook is called Blog Juice Calculator and uses a simple formula to compute how much blog juice you have. Mine’s 5.5 out of 10.
The calculation includes Alexa rankings at 15%, Technorati Rank at 30% and another 15% from inbound links in Technorati plus 40% from Bloglines subscriber.
I think they could do some more improvement on the formula.

You can now keep up to date with your Blog Juice score. I’ve created a WordPress plugin to display an auto-updating score on your blog. Still pointless, but now even more accurate!

Hmmm… a site about Anguilla Beaches earns about US$700 monthly from Adsense, and has a blog juice of 1.5
So, sites with blog juice concentrations of 4.2 or 5.5…

Why of course, they want you to buy TextLinkAds to improve your score! Or if not, make you a publisher.
I’m not sure about the Alexa rating. How many people have that toolbar anyway? I have never seen it on anyone’s PC.
mine is bad. got only 2.3
