The untethered jailbreak for iOS devices running iOS 6.0 through 6.1 called ‘evasi0n‘ is now out and ready for download.

Evasi0n works with machines running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.5 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64) and can untether jailbreak the following iOS devices running iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, and 6.1 firmwares: iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPod Touch 4, iPod Touch 5. The tool is very user friendly but seems to work best on devices upgraded to iOS 6.1 via iTunes and not OTA.

Anybody experiencing problems with LTE after installing the Evasion Jailbreak? I just purchased and installed Auxo, Springtomize 2, %hook’s law, Barrel, Full Force, Zephyr and Winterboard. I’m using Globe. Hope somebody could give their feedback.

How come people here are such bitter losers.. So what if they have iphones and doesnt want to buy apps its their choice.. Even in the states why would you buy when you can get it for free, at least they were able to afford iphones its nobody’s business if they bought it with whatever means they want and that doesnt give you the right to comment on it since thats their money its not yours so I dont think you guys have the right to comment on it.. Just a fact. at least they can afford to buy themselves an iphone by the way the iphone dont depreciate like android phones. So its not cheap specifically to the new phone that they just recently release.. Its sad to read comment like this people trash other people. And by way why are you commenting on this site if you are not interested in jailbreaking your phone? Or that you are not an iphone fan or the least bit interested in iphones. jailbreak is a way to get your phone to work with all the free tweaks and also those apps that are not approve by apple yet by its cool enough that people want to use it. Stop trashing people and get a life look i dont care if your rich and jaded enough to buy yourselves apps but people can do want they want and you are not in the position to talk shit about that not unless you are one of the worlds richest people.

Sir, alam naman po nating masama mamirata. Galit tayo sa mga masasamang magnanakaw pero pag najailbreak ko na iphone ko pwede na akong magnakaw ng games/apps?

Kung ikaw ba yung gumawa ng app papayag ka ba na idownload lang nila to ng libre? Yung dugo, pawis, oras at talino na ginugol mo para magawa yung app ay mababali wala lang dahil ninakaw lang ito ng pirata…

Sir, isipin na lang po natin yung mga indie developers, wag na yung mga malalaking software companies, yung mga hindi makakuha ng advertisers sa apps nila. Kailangan nilang kumita kaya nila nilagyan ng presyo yung app at di binigay ng libre, pag nagkaroon naman sila ng sapat na kita/advertisers ginagawa naman na nilang free mismo yung mga susunod nilang gawa eh…

Ilagay na lang po natin yung sarili natin sa sitwasyon nila. wag na po tayong mamirata ng apps. Always remember the golden rule. :)

dati rin akong namimirata ng apps/songs/movies at kung ano pa. pero nung ako na mismo yung gumawa ng bagay na nakita kong pinirata lang ng iba, sabi ko never again na akong mamimirata. may itunes giftcards naman kaya di gaanong masakit. :)

okay itong jailbreak to some extent na pwede mong icustomize yung iphone mo na in a way, medyo maiiba ka sa iphone crowd. o kaya para sa mga features/apps na maganda pero di pinublish ng apple sa itunes… pero kung mamimirata ka wag nalang po sana. masama po iyun.

your point is well taken. however, if you are truly an iphone user, or iOS device user for that matter, you’ll know that most if not all best apps have really huge price tags.

forget about those .99 cents. i myself, jailbreak my idevices for apple’s productivity tools such as Numbers, Pages, and Keynote. damn expensive are those. i really need them since im using them already on my mac. get it?

More than the cracked apps as zhougar emphasized, we jailbreak our idevices for the unapproved apps available at cydia.

Yes, nka Jailbreaj na iP4S.. First time ko at Masaya JB.. ang dami magaganda Apps. kaso Marami Apps ang hindi pa compatible sa iOS 6.1, dalawang Apps talaga gusto ko install ang Metroon at HTC Animated Widget w/ GPS.. hopefully stable na ito next month! :) thumps-up evasion!

Was able to install installous5 via insanelyi.
Was able as well to install cracked apps and sync via itunes.

question from a user that’s not so techy:

can you consider this as an upgrade jailbreak if your phone was previously jailbroken in lower ios version?
is this scenario possible without anything to sacrifice like loss of data, contacts, files?
