Max Payne Mobile now out on Android

Almost two months back we posted that Max Payne Mobile will be available for iOS and Android devices. But due to some delays, Rockstar Game’s deadline for the Android release was not met.

But now the long wait is finally over as the much anticipated third-person shooting game is now available for Android. But before you get too excited we suggest checking if your device is listed under supported devices.

Android Phones:

• Motorola Razr
• Motorola Atrix
• Motorola Photon
• Motorola Droid Bionic
• HTC Rezound
• HTC One X and S
• HTC Evo 3D
• HTC Sensation
• HTC Droid Incredible 2
• Samsung Galaxy Nexus
• Samsung Nexus
• Samsung Galaxy Note
• Samsung S2
• Samsung Galaxy R
• Sony Xperia Play and S
• Sony Walkman Z Series Media Player

Android Tablets:

• Acer Iconia,
• Asus Eee Pad Transformer
• Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime
• LG Optimus Pad
• Medion Lifetab
• Motorola Xoom
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 / 10.1
• Sony Tablet S
• Sony Tablet P
• Toshiba Thrive
• HTC Flyer
• HTC Jetstream

Didn’t find your device? Don’t fret because when I went to Google Play website (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rockstar.maxpayne) I saw some of the review units that I tried before and most of them got a check mark which I assume should be able to run the game. I haven’t really tried installing the game on each of those phones since most of them are already returned. Here’s a screenshot of my Google Play Account with the listing of device.

And speaking of game installation, make sure to make room in your phone’s memory as this resource-heavy game requires a whopping 1.3GB of free storage in order for you to install it.

Max Payne Mobile will cost you Php186.26. It’s a bit costly but from the looks of things, we think that it’s going to be worth every peso, especially if you plan to play it on an NVidia Tegra 3 quad-core powered device as this game is especially optimized for such devices. We think that this may be attributed for the delayed launch. Anyway, hit us back if you were able to install and play the game on your Android device.
