Nokia City Lens now available for WP7 devices

Just before the launching of the Lumia 920 and 820, Nokia released a teaser clip which hints at an augmented reality app for upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices. That app is called City Lens and is now available for download on WP7 devices as well.

Nokia City Lens just recently graduated from the beta labs and now gives Nokia WP users a very exciting way to discover nearby establishments. The app uses the phone’s camera viewfinder and “provides an augmented reality overlay view of buildings and instantly highlights places of interest.”

Answering my own question, I went to Nokia store in Gateway last night and I informed that sales agent that City lens is already available. We tried it and it really works.
