Nokia has launched its own launcher for Android smartphones called the Z Launcher, a simplistic launcher that learns how you use your phone and promotes your favorite apps.
As mentioned earlier, the Z Launcher aims for a simple approach by promoting the apps you’ve used in the past on the home screen. There’s the usual app drawer but instead of displaying apps in a grid it shows a list which takes a bit of a hunting when you’re looking for a specific app. However, you can easily find apps or contacts by scribbling the first few letters right on the home screen. Watch the video below to see it in action.
Z Launcher is currently in a limited pre-beta release and is optimized for the Nexus 5, Galaxy S5, S4, S3, Moto X, HTC One, and Sony Xperia Z1. You can download the app from here but you will need to sign in with your Google account first.
Update: Not working on rooted devices.

I think it would be wise to mention that the Z Launcher does not support rooted phones, for all the rooted folks out there.
