Looks like the LG Optimus Pad is coming to town very soon. The LG Optimus Pad is the first Android tablet that supports 3D video recording of up to 720p using dual HD cameras at the back panel. Of the many number of tablets that has been announced this week, the most likely units that will eventually arrive in the Philippines are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (SGT P7100) and the LG Optimus Pad. However, considering the first Galaxy Tab was selling for a very expensive Php35k price-point, it's a little hard to compete with the iPad which starts at just Php23k. As for the LG Optimus Pad, my guesstimate is somewhere between Php30 - Php35k. Wrote down a side by side comparison on the German-born WePad and the Apple iPad. In an official announcement today, the WePad will come in two flavors and will be priced competitively against the iPad.
