Okay, I think I spoke too soon. Just got this press release from Globe that they renamed their 3G internet service to Globe Broadband Tattoo.
Globe Broadband Tattoo, formerly known as Globe Visibility, uses a USB stick that works as a modem (more like a re-brand of Globe Visibility). Globe has also upgraded their network so users can get speeds of up to 2 Mbps.
Globe redesigned Globe Broadband Tattoo with some funky designs featuring artworks in black, orange, or blue.
The Globe Broadband Tattoo Prepaid Kit comes with a free Php100 load that is equivalent to five hours of free internet usage. Users still pay only Php5 per fifteen minutes with multiple connections.
Once users have consumed their free load, reloading the Globe Broadband Tattoo Prepaid SIM can be loaded like a regular prepaid SIM, whether through Share-A-Load, Globe Load or prepaid call cards.
Users may also opt for a postpaid plan for Globe Broadband Tattoo; there is a range of plans for as low as Php799/month with 60 free mobile internet hours.
Aside from using Globe Broadband Tattoo as a mobile Internet modem, the SIM card inside the USB can also be used for calls and sending text messages at regular cellphone rates. The USB also comes with a built-in expansion slot where users can insert their own microSD card for additional file storage.
The new Globe Broadband Tattoo Prepaid Kit is sold for only Php1,895.

Globe connection sucks… im having a bad trip experiencing their connectivity. I registered “UNLISURF” but it’s all got wasted ‘coz of their unstable, intermittent connectivity. and for the record it happens most of the time i register unlisurf.

Shet naman na globe tattoo na yan, pag kabibili dun lang maayus yung signal, after ilang weeks, parang uod sa bilis ng connection!

hay nako sobrang bagal ng globe dito sa cavite!!!! bad trip yang globe na yan walang improvement na nangyayari!!!! malakas ang signal pero ang bagal ng download and upload speed!!! anung klase yan!!! hoy mga taga globe ayusin nyo naman yan maraming ng nabubuwisit sa inyo!!!!

for some reason the globe tattoo is going over 5mbs here in manila and 3.5 mbs here in bacolod
Well, just found out that signal strength varies from place to place. Binili ko lang yung Globe Tattoo dahil nagkataong malakas ang signal dito sa amin. I bought the SMART BRO kit in case mahina ang signal sa Globe.
Kaya bago kayo bumili ng USB modem, check nyo muna signal sa inyo kung alin ang mas malakas. Kung malakas SMART sa inyo, sa SMART BRO kayo Pag GLOBE, TATTOO naman.

sta.rita guiguinto bulacan globe walang kwenta. Shet full bar pero 0kbps upload and download kabibili pa lang sayang 5pesos per 15min google palang umaabot na ng 10min. Binalik ko ung globe tattoo bibili pa lng ako ng smartbro sana maganda ung signal di2 samin try nyo muna kung gumagana may libre namang 5hr yan e kung maganda signal sa inyo pag di maganda report nyo na ayaw maconnect sa internet automtic disconnect marefund nyo yang globe tattoo
(continued from my previous post): BTW, may WiMax connection na ba dito sa Philippines? Globe meron na? Kasi ang nasasagap ko lang connection so far e GPRS, HSDPA (most of my connection time), at 3G. PS: If you’re wondering about the relation between “Internet Connection” speed and “Download” speed, 1 byte = 8 bits. So… for a 512 kbps (kilobits per second) internet connection speed, downloads speed could reach up to 64 kb/s (kilobytes per second). Just a helpful thought ^_^
