Just got an SMS alert from Globe and it says that their Duo service has expanded nationwide. See the whole copy of the alert below.
DUO has expanded! Now you can call DUO numbers in Batangas, Quezon, Northern Samar and Davao and all Globe landlines nationwide!
Plus free calls to any landline like PLDT, Bayantel, Digitel, etc, w/in the same area. DUO is now available in more areas: NCR, Cebu, Bohol, Capiz, Negros Occidental, Batangas, Quezon, Northern Samar and Davao.
For more information, txt DUO to 8888.
More about Globe Duo:
OMG! So those from Quezon and Samar who get Duo/Superduo will be charged regular rates if they call landlines aside from Duo numbers and Globelines? That is highway robbery!
Why would you even bother getting DUO in those areas? Just Superduo it and call globe handyphones OR Get prepaid and acquire as much immortal calls you can so you only pay 3 pesos a minute for calls
I recently avail Superduo in Quezon just this Wed. I would suggest that you inquire first in their store if their unlicall to landline is available because I found out only after subscribing that the info are somewhat bogus. Calling to pldt would deduct my load .I was never told about the real problem when I called to their customer service (211), when I visit to their globe store I was told that their intraconnections with landline like pldt was not yet ok. Also I just found out this site http://www.dugagz.com/2010/06/globe-superduo-service-new-areas-offered-as-of-june-9-2010/ i wish i have read it first
Not yet in Leyte? :(
Is this really “nationwide” or an expansion specific only to those areas specified in the ad?
ha nationwide?? but sng nueva ecija di kasama??
Does this mean, if you call a DUO number in say, Batangas, there won’t be long distance charges?
@arnold – that’s how I read it.
