Smart Bro Rocket Plug-It offers up to 12Mbps

Smart is set to publicly announce their new HSPA+ capable Plug-It and calls it Smart Bro Rocket with promised speeds of up to 12Mbps on their mobile network.

Yugatech 728x90 Reno7 Series

The Smart Bro Rocket uses a Huawei E353 HSPA+ USB dongle.

The new dongle is available for prepaid users with a retail price of Php3,995 (will be available by Friday next week).

The same Smart Bro loading system works and the same rates apply (Php10 per 30 minutes). Smart currently has 154 base stations capable of delivering HSPA+ speeds so it’s still limited to Metro Manila and key provincial cities like Cebu and Davao.

    >>6.) Default charging will revert to Php200 per 180MB after September 30, 2011.
    useless man to…

a youtube download can easily top off 50mb in a single view.

kung merun ka ng android phone, simply enable tethering and you now have access to internet for P10 per 30minutes.

buti pa mag smartbro plug it for P10 per 30mins lang din. whats the use of 12mbps for 200mb lang.

    Hey Abe Yuga!
I have an iPad and a Kindle. Use a Softbank portable wifi for Net connection ( I live in Japan). I know my sofbank wifi won’t work in PI so I was thinking about getting this Smart Bro Rocket, but it PLUGS IN, right, like to a PC, right? So maybe it won’t work for me. Any portable wifi receiver you can recommend that DOESN’T have to plug into a device, like an iPad?

If and when Smart can get 3G working better in this neck of the woods, ie ping speed of between 2000 and 3800ms d/l of 8-28kb/s u/l 38kb/s, then maybe this new product might work, but don’t hold your breath, this bad 3G signal has been reported since April, but of course smart could not give a hoot. and yes I do know its hspa+
