Smart has released its LTE Data Packages for Smart Postpaid subscribers with LTE-enabled devices (the ones that are not on iPhone 5 but are LTE-capable).
The following LTE Data Packages apply to subscribers with Regular Plans, Consumable Plans, Unlimited Data Plans, and iPhone Plans:
Do note that you need a Smart LTE SIM to be able to enjoy these services. If you’re a subscriber from 2010 below just visit any Smart store to have your existing SIM replaced for free.
Smart LTE subscribers will be able to enjoy data speeds of up to 42 Mbps until March 30, 2013.

Hi Louie,
For your statement, I quote
(the ones that are not on iPhone 5 but are LTE-capable).
How about for those on iPhone 5? Will different packages apply? Or does the LTE come with our subscription already?
Thanks Louie,
Marco
Is there a bandwith capped on this data package?
Is this on top of the regular data plan?
it’s very sad for some people who JUMPED IN to the supposed “SMARTER” network. LOL! aanhin mo ang Smart LTE kung wala namang signal. haha
of course there will always be cap for data basta smart, live more daw pero less naman ang data nila
3G nga nila ilang taon na di pa nila na-maximize
LTE pang advertise lang
I went to smart southmall and asked if I can have an LTE provisioned Sim because its stated in the website that we can exchange it. wala daw ganun… iPhone 5 na plan lang daw… sabi ko check your website!… i hope smart can educate or inform all of their centers and staff if they have promotions like this… parang walang ka alam alam e… sayang oras pag pila at pakikiusap puro hindi pwede. LTE is supposed to be available for all if you have an LTE capable handset. they’re making it hard and make it look like pang iphone 5 lang yung LTE nila. they have to take note that not everybody is pro iOS… maraming android ang gusto.
no cap?
Bago magtanung sana magbasa muna.
Hi. I’m new with this postpaod thing so quick long question sir. I’m on unli plan 2000 and if i wished to avail the LTE 995 will there be an extra charge? Like do they have to add 995 to my 2000 bill? I’m so confused ? ?
WTF. Alam ba ng Smart kung ano standard speed ng LTE. Yung 42MBPS na yan eh speed lang ng HSDPA+ eh.
They do know. Two factors that affect this are cost of the infrastructure and retaining profit. Kaya mas maayos infrastructure ni Smart dahil yung distribution ng subscriber per station/access point ay mas efficient kesa kay Globe. the more points/stations mas mahal infrastructure. yung capping naman dahil para may pagkakitaan pa, pag wala yun kakainin yung profit nila hehehe. Well that’s just my opinion :)
Why is there additional charges??? Globe offers LTE with NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES… Why o why???
Wait, I thought there’s no additional charge for a LTE connection if you already have an existing data plan?
i went to smart gateway last wednesday to request for an lte sim for my lte s3. they said they can only give the sims to bundled iphone 5 subscribers. i hope they can give one now. im on plan 2000.
hey obamadolla, I updated the article about the SIM replacement part. The free SIM replacement is for subscribers from 2010 below as indicated on Smart’s website.
Thanks for the update
I was confused of this “bucket” pricing. Seems like it’s just the original policy where you need to register to avail the service on a limited time frame. Anyway SMART please clear things up by stating if this will be capped if you reach a certain bandwidth and areas covered by LTE Network
as always, this will always be capped, smart e
thanks for the LTE info, especially the Free replacement service. typo sir Louie on the “…note that you need a Smartt LTE SIM…”
Corrected. Thanks man!
