I am just questioning if I am able to get a software update for Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 if my phone was modified by Sun Cellular because the Wikipedia says that the Android 4.2.2 Update will be rolling out soon globally and I want to install it on my phone.

Dude this is worth it. If you’re on to gaming and multimedia and short for the 30k quad phones this is the phone for you. You might ask what is the capacity of its GPU the so called “BROADCOM VIDEOCORE IV” It draws 3d gfx fast. This phone can actually compete with the high-end smartphones out there and the exceptional TouchWiz UI.
The only dowside here is the resolution which barely matters unless you’re gonna use it 1 inch from your eye.
Sad to say its been 2 weeks and no one from Sun has still msged to tell whether its approved or not.
Alam mo ganyan din nangyari sa mama ko at alam mo ba naghintay kami ng 2 months para lang sa approval. Pagkatapos na approve nga kaso nga lang na out of stocks ang grand kaya naghintay pa kami ng 1 week pero nakuha na namin. ngayon maganda at maayos yung performance ng grand
The specs aren’t to bad except it’s let down buy the screen which is pretty low res for such big screen.
Too expensive really you’d be better off putting more money to it and getting the Galaxy S3.

Globe plans have better phones compare to Smart plans.

nah. i have a grand and a note 2, and i’ve been using it for 3 months now (lagi pa nahuhulog sa kama partida). its a very good phone, sulit na sulit and binayad mo. its cheap and its packed sa presyo nia.
Matagal na kami nagaantay nito. Sabi ng sun reservation only pero almost 1 month na. First saw this ad sa website ng sun last feb ata or early march. Upon constant asking in several branches of Sun shop, sinabi ng isang counter person nila na this is usually just a gimmick and only few phones will be released and we will have to wait long if at all received anything. They are expecting that most will just be impatient and choose their other offer. Kakainis lang, at least honest yung counter person na yun
