Paypal fights back on Checkout with $23 Affiliate

Though Google Checkout hasn’t really gotten good reviews lately with all that problems and bugs cropping out left and right, Paypal is moving forward with a new affiliate campaign with Commission Junction:

You can earn up to $23 for every new PayPal Business or Premier account you refer under our new PayPal affiliate program. Make top commissions when your referred merchants start receiving off-eBay payments – sign up now! {source: ThreadWatch}

A $23 affiliate payout per referral seems high enough to get some attention from marketers and sure is an indication that Paypal is a bit threatened by Google.

We’ll see more of this in the coming months. Competition is good for consumers.

    It’ll be a killer combo if they will allow residents to open account.

    Well, this is pretty much useless if you’re from the Philippines. I hear “PayPal 4 Philippines” again.
