3600mAh High-Capacity Battery for Huawei E5

I’ve been using a pocket WiFi since last year and have gone thru so many models from Sapido to, Dlink, ZTE and Huawei. The biggest problem so far is that the 1500mAh drains so fast and degrades in a matter of months if you use it on a daily basis.

So when I found out that there are actually high-capacity batteries for the E5, I ditched all the other pocket WiFis and stick with it. Before this, I would bring several external/portable batteries which is shared with my other smartphones.

The 3600mAh high-capacity battery is more of a permanent solution. That’s more than twice the capacity of the regular battery which is just 1500mAh.

Based on experience, I could get somewhere between 8 hours to 24 hours of usage on a single full charge (really depends on usage pattern).

The benefit of the high-capacity battery was evident during the recent floods where some parts of the metro also experienced some brownouts. So I got two of these charged and ready to go the next time there’s another brown-out.

The 3600mAh high-capacity battery sells for Php2,180 over at TipidPC (see listing here).

Disclosure: Hot Gadgets provided the units for free.

In terms of speed of internet and battery life – is there a difference between a Huawei modem and a dual sim phone that can be a personal hotspot? Which would be a better buy?

all li-ion batteries share the same chemistry and voltage. if you forgot your digicam’s charger, you could solder it in paralell to your cellphone’s battery and you could slowly recharge it using your cellphone charger. I’m thinking you could buy 2 or 3 cellphone batteries and wire them in parallel to the original battery to achieve the same effect

much cheaper to use the cdrking power bank amounting to 680 only and has higher capacity 4600mah plus the internal battery 1500mah…. so you now have around 6100mah which can last probably 2 to 3 days of normal use.

Nice to know this is available! The problem with this device, is that its battery dependent… Even if its plugged in (powered via USB), if the battery is totally drained or defective already, you wont be able to use it.

That does not make sense.. sa tingin mo pano magchcharge to ng mobile phones kung walang battery na sarili yung wireless/mobile charger? muntanga lang

    • Avatar for mark mark says:

u r right… it is battery dependent LITERALLY in such case where the battery is totally busted kahit i plug mo sya eh di na rin gagana unit mo.

@Felix read and understand first! kung mkapag comment kala mo sino. In the end u made an ass out of yourself ;)
