Archos quad-core, 8-inch, 4G tablet priced at Php17,000

Archos has announced its first-ever 8-inch tablet with 4G LTE capabilities positioned at a more affordable price point. The Archos 80 Helium 4G also packs decent specs for its asking price.

First seen at CES 2014, the slate is about to have a £230 tag (approx. Php17,133) and is about to make its official debut at MWC 2014. It’s not everyday that we see an 8-incher tablet that gives its users fast LTE connections at this price range. This is why we’re almost certain that it would catch the attention of a lot of consumers.

Here’s what we know about the Archos 80 Helium 4G’s specs so far:

8-inch IPS HD display @ 1024 x 768 pixels
Cortex A7 1.2GHz quad-core processor
Adreno 305 GPU
1GB RAM
8GB internal storage
up to 64GB via microSD card
5MP rear camera, 2MP front
4G LTE
Android 4.3 Jellybean

Stay tuned as we give you more details during its launch.

    seriously?

bakit ganun po yung mga title ng articles ng yugatech deceiving???

“first seen at CES 2014 with £230 price tag”, tas inassume na agad yung price would be same at our currency?

Sir Kevin, please. ang dami nyo na pong article na ganito. pakiayos po.

Sir Abe, kindly do something about it.

    thank you very much!

The conversion to local currency is always just an approximation to give our readers an idea or an estimate as to how much it will cost when it gets here, and not to deceive readers by claiming it’s the official local price. Don’t you want to be spared from spending time converting the prices? :)

      point well taken sir.

      pero, nevermind. just my opinion.

Agree ako with “seriously”. Ang dating kasi sa akin ng mga ganitong articles na may “priced at PhpXXXXX” is available na locally yung item since may “local price” na.

agree with seriously and m…it’s really misleading, i thought it was released locally…palusot nalang yung kinonvert…you could have stated na “approximate price of” instead of priced at…sana nga ayusin yung mga article…very poor editorials…sayang it wasn’t like this before…plus yung decent specs for it’s asking price? lte lang yung maganda but the rest is not even a mid ranger…15k lang lg g pad…mas superior specs no lte lang…disappointing

    • Avatar for i agree i agree says:

      Point taken Sir Kevin.

But I agree with them, kinda misleading and would make you think that the item is available here.

About the product, nice to have 4g but the other specs are not reasonable for the “approx” price. ive seen other products with same specs (except for 4g) go for 9k here. Like Acer Iconia A1 and MSI Primo 81. Just my two cents.

Uhmmmm….si Kevin Kosme naman, perhaps there’s no demand for LTE tablets with shit specs?
