Energizer Portable Power Kit with XP1000

Listen to article

Since the first time I discovered these Energizer portable battery chargers, been using them always for most of my mobile devices. This latest one, while it doesn’t not pack as much juice as the previous one’s I’ve tested, is more of a complementary set.

So, what’s inside the carrying case?

– an Energizer Xpal XP1000 (1,000mAh)
– a USB car charger
– a USB wall charger
– four (4) charging tips
– charging cable

The portable battery is only rated at 1000mAh so it doesn’t have enough power to fully recharge most of the high-end smartphones today (which are rated at around 1500mAh). It’s very slim and very light though that you would not notice it if you put it inside your breast pocket.

I have the XP2000 which is rated at 2000mAh and have also tested that humongous XP18000 that can even extend your laptop’s battery life up to 24 hours.

This Power Kit is more like a traveler’s pack where you have multiple options of recharging your phone (via the wall, the car or the portable battery).

Used the portable battery this afternoon and it was able to recharge my HTC HD7 to around two-thirds full.

The battery alone (an XPal XP1000) retails for about Php950 so I’m guessing the entire Power Pack would go for around Php1,500 when it hits the stores. Update: Suggested retail price is Php2,195.

I saw these units at Digital Walker, Digital Hub & Power Mac Center. Iba iba pang models meron.

I’d go for this one since brand-wise, you can’t go wrong.

Abe, you must try Sanyo’s Eneloop mobile booster! This is the only device you ll need for all those gadgets. KBC-L2B

Imagine packing some 5000mah! 5000mah not those sub 2000mah available in the market.

I can charge my ip4 for about 3 times. :)

Hi Jaims,

I bought this from Singapore, Challenger shop for about 90sgd. (x34.8 = php)

You can easily source it out in Manila at various elec shops. This is a good buy! Imagine, 1amp output vs all in the market @ 0.5amp only.

Charging is lightning fast as if plugged at a powerpoint.
