Huawei Tron; $150 Tegra-powered Android console

With so many devices being unveiled almost simultaneously at CES, it’s easy to lose track on some of the new gadgets at the convention. And one of the things we almost missed out on is this inexpensive gaming console from Huawei called Tron.

Huawei Tron

At first glance, the Tron looks like a miniaturized version of the Mac Pro with its cylindrical body and plain paintjob.

The device runs on a Tegra 4 processor with 2GB and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. It can output 1080p through its full-sized HDMI port and supports 4K contents right off the bat.

Huawei Tron specs:
NVidia Tegra 4 T114 processor
2GB RAM
Expandable 16GB/32GB internal storage
Up To 64GB
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
Bluetooth 3.0
1x RJ-45 port, 1x USB 3.0 port, 1x Audio jack
1x HDMI port with 4K support
Android 4.2.3
Colors: Black and White

Huawei’s new gaming console comes with pretty sleek wireless controller which has a pair of thumbsticks, a quartet of shoulder triggers, a 4-way D-Pad and TouchPad for navigating your way through its custom ROM.

The Tron is slated to go on sale starting in China starting this April and will retail for USD150. It’s a bit more expensive compared to the Ouya console, but we think that the $20 difference is well worth it considering that the Tron has a better feature set.

What’s the use of giving this news if this is only going on sale on China? Not newsworthy.

YugaTech really needs to kick all of these noob contributors to the hellhole.

This site has turned into a pile of trash thanks to these incompetent newbies.

The main CPU ala apple design.
Controller ala sony PS4 except for the round touch pad.

Ayus din yan :-) well sana may capabilities din na parang google chrome na you can link an android phone on it… Dream on benchmark! Heheheh

Alam mo pinagkaiba ng housing at CPU?

    • Avatar for tanggo tanggo says:

Sorry, but it seems that you do not know that the term “CPU” refers to the processor inside a computer or any device, not its outer casing.

And another thing, the controller is more like an Xbox 360/ Xbox One gamepad than a PS4 gamepad thanks to that similar button layout.

Yeah, keep on dreaming @Benchmark, keep on dreaming.

Your comment just gave me cancer.

      Shabu pa!!!

nyek! I am not expecting somebody will react sa comment ko. Well I know CPU is Central Processing Unit which I learned way back I am grade 4 (and without using a search engine). Medyo naging generic lang for me to use the term CPU when I am referring it sa casing or whatever you want to call that.

Sa pagkaalam ko, you cannot call CPU as the processor. Kaya nga Central Processing Unit-it consist of the motherboard, processors, memories, etc.

Main Parts of the Computer: Input Devices, Output devices and the CPU.

If iba na ang tawag sa ngayon, sensya na po. :-)

Oh by the way, sana naabutan nyo pa na GREEN text color pa ang nilalabas ng monitor (CRT) coz I did. ;-)

    • Avatar for benchmark benchmark says:

If specific na yung tawag sa ngayon…sensya na po CPU kasi ang tawag sa panahon namin eh kapag yung hardware na casing plus the other parts inside it. ;-)
