Samsung’s smartwatch companion watch is officially launched here in Berlin, Germany during the global event called Unpacked 2013: Episode 2. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Gear, the device is worn like a digital watch but is a companion device to the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.
The main body of the watch is made of stainless steel while the strap is made of some type of hard polycarbonate material which is solid yet flexible enough to house the camera and other circuitry.

The built-in rechargeable battery lasts for about 25 hours on a single full charge. It also has built-in sensors so it can detect hand signals or waves when in operation.
The watch will only be initially compatible with the Galaxy Note 3 and then the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. With a firmware update, it will later on be compatible with the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 2.
The Galaxy Gear will be available in 6 color variants — Jet Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, and Lime Green. Samsung will sell the Galaxy Gear for $299.
Promising device pero malayo pa sa expectation ng user. Sa tingin ko pantapat yan sa google glass. :) Isa pa, mahal naman 299USD. OMG!

ambobo naman ng samsung,andami na ngang nagsasabi na ang pangit ng watch nato nung una tas ngaun sa mga piling devices lang,edi lalong wala kayong nabenta tsk tsk anyway the camera looks like the camera from lumia 925(imagine the strap as the back portion of the lumia 925 =)) )
