If the old Apple TV is just too limited and expensive for you, check out the SanDisk Sansa Take TV — a portable flash-based video player that fits in your pocket.
Saw this at one of the podcast commercials of WebbAlert by Morgan Webb and it looked cool. It plays DivX, Xvid and MPEG4 videos so you know most of those stuff you got from the Pirate Bay are playable.
It’s actually pretty easy to use — just plug in the device to your PC’s USB port, copy all of the videos, take it to your TV plug the video cables (RCA and S-Video) and that’s it. The device cover also serves as a remote control so you can manage all the content from your couch.
It’s just like the Apple TV — just smaller, easier and cheaper. Although you only get to choose between 4GB and 8GB but at $100 and $150, that’s still relatively cheap which make the Sansa TakeTV is a practical and efficient way to transfer video from your PC to your TV.
