Cignal hits Half a Million Subscribers

Satelite TV provider, Cignal, has just reached a total subscriber base of 500,000 nationwide. The subscription-based Direct-To-Home (DTH) TV provider has been around since 2009.

Cignal was among the first subscription-based TV services utilizing satellite delivery. The service is even more popular in areas (especially remote locations) where traditional cable TV cannot access.

Cignal Digital TV uses the DVB-S2 digital television broadcast standard to accommodate both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) TV broadcasts. They currently have around 20 HD channels on top of the hundreds of other SD channels and about a dozen AM and FM radio channels.

The Cignal Kit costs a one-time fee of Php2,990 for prepaid subscribers with a monthly load fee of Php290. More details of the postpaid and prepaid plans here.

There is a much better satellite cable tv at 99 pesos a month and it s
Called PINOY gsat cable tv , 17 channels and 1995 lang package.
Also if you have poor signal during heavy rains , try spraying your dish with pam cooking spray and it will solve the problem.

LoS ang signal and humihina pag naging maulap.

    whatever happened to Dream TV?

Walang kwenta Cignal especially this rainy season. Walang signal ang Cignal pag umuulan ng malakas.

This is the reply I got from @CignalTv via twitter when I complained about the poor/no reception:

“Hi, Rains do not affect the line of sight, even during typhoons. Heavy clouds, could block the line resulting to loss of signal. But the interruption should not last for more than 10 minutes.”

WTF? That’s basically the same thing! Have you ever seen a typhoon with no clouds?

We are using Cignal here in Bataan. It’s recommended for the subdivision that has no cable line.

Its really clear. The only problem is their aftersales wherein you need to pay for the technician, the cable etc. if their hotline cant fix the problem.
