Sharp launches AQUOS 8K LED TV in the Philippines

Sharp is finally bringing to the local market the first ever 8K LED TV, the AQUOS 8K. The company first launched the TV last October in China, Japan, Taiwan, and the European market.

We’ve heard rumors, speculations, and talks about 8K for a while now, but the AQUOS 8K will be the first device to ever sport the said resolution.

“Sharp is now promoting ‘Changing the World with 8K and AIoT’
as we display products equipped with this outstanding technology that we will introduce
in the Philippine market this year.” Yoshihiro Hashimoto, Managing Executive Officer
of Sharp Corporation

According to Mr. Kawata, Filipino consumers can expect to get their hands on the TV by the end of 2018. Apart from the 8K display, the AQUOS TV is also powered by a Quad-core processor, built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, and Chromecast, Dolby Audio, and Android TV. Pricing and exact availability were not revealed but we can expect Sharp to announce those as the year draws to a close.
