Smart Bro subscribers unite to Email Flood NTC

There’s been numerous discussions by subscribers of Smart Bro to flood the NTC with email complaints about the service, or lack thereof, from Smart WiFi. Details of the plan are posted in my Smart WiFi entry here.

The plan is simple. Every DSL subscriber will email NTC ([email protected]) on December 24, 2005 and file complaints against Smart together with stats/records of downtimes and intermittent connections.

They’ve been spreading the word in my blog and other blogs where SmartBro is being discussed as well as forums and other bulletin boards.

This is by far the most sensible and most professional move by Smart subscribers. My blog has received over 1,300 comments and close to 40,000 page views just because of Smart Bro yet most of the comments were rants and cussing (where tons of them were already deleted). I hope that my blog has in a way help spread the word and enable subscribers (including would-be subscribers) to communicate and unite on this issue.

talaga?!!! bkit nman kame d2 s pasig hindi nakaka encounter ng ganyang mga problems? simula ng lumabas yang smart wifi nagpakabit n kme kc walang available n line ng pldt s lugar nmin, d2 s san miguel, ang nagkakaproblem lan ung pc nmin kc luma na pero ung wifi hindi naman….hmmm

Guys,

Too bad, we are still within the SMART contract timeframe.Kung hindi lang , we could have transferred immediately.We are encountering all the problems you have mentioned and we keep on calling smart , we get rebate but this is not the conern.We need a better service comparable to at least the country in asia. What we need is a reliable service, a reliable connection for all our jobs and different business dealings.This is not just for games or internet surfing.
SMART WIFI na manloloko is still around.

Sawang sawa na ako sa smartwifiPUTA na yan!! Hindi ko binayaran yung pre termination ko. Gumawa lang ako ng request for disconnection at nakastate dun lahat ng downtimes at complaints ko. hndi ko na tinanung kung babayaran ko pa ba yung pre-termination fee ko basta ang sabi ko hindi na ako magbabayad, TAPOS!!! The hell with NTC!!!!!! FYI you guys, may lagay ang smart sa NTC kaya hindi ginagawan ng paraan. TYIPICAL PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT yan. Kung gusto talaga nilang resolbahin ang complaints natin dapat noon pa nila ginawa! Is this another ERAP case na it takes centuries to solve? Basta may perang lagay approved lahat ng request.

Walang kwenta talaga smart wifi. kaka apply ko palang sa service nila 2 weeks ago. ndi nila ako pinatawad sa kabulukan ng service nila.. 5 days na ako walang internet, and everytime i call their customer service, pare parehong dahilan ang binibigay! may technical problems daw ang base station… ang masama pa, i check ko na lang daw from time to time kung kailang magkakaroon ng connection ulit kasi ndi daw sila makapag bibigay ng definite time! tangina, pinapaasa pa ako! tangina sayang pera ko sa inyo!

Sa madaling araw yan na mabilis ang smart!!!! The rest of the day gapang!!!Kulang ba kulang talaga ang bandwidth nila!!! Globe na lang yata ang makaka solve ng problema natin.

Sikat na talaga Smartwifi, palaging nasa news…..dahil sa kabulukan!!

Hello, I am also FED-UP of this damn smart wi-fi. Everytime my connection gets broken, I will immediately call the helpless and incompetent technical support and everytime (for every disconnection) they will put me in this very lenghty process of disconnecting the base ap to my computer, checking for IP address, etc.. Until eventualy, they will tell me that my connections are working on their site. They will insist on this until you get very frustrated that you will just hang-up the phone or curse them. My experience shows that neither of this works on them! They will then tell you that they will send their technical to check the subscribers base station. If you ask them when, THEY WILL NOT COMMIT. YOU WILL END UP WAITING FOR THEIR TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO CHECK ON YOUR UNIT ON THEIR CONVINIENCE. THIS SHOWS HOW ARROGANT SMART WIFI SUPPORT ARE. YOU ARE PAYING IN FULL AND YOU ARE GETTING MUCH LESS ON WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR! THAT IS I THINK AS UNFAIR. I SUGGEST THAT WE BIND TOGETHER AND FILE A CLASS SUIT TO SMART TELECOMS SO THAT THESE ARROGANT TELECOMS COMPANY WILL KNOW HOW THEY SHOULD TREAT THEIR CLIENTS. NO WONDER OUR COMPANY USES GLOBE AS OUR COMMUNICATIONS PROVIDER

para sa mga taga SMART!

Please , wag tanggap ng tanggap ng subscribers kung alam nyong wala namang stable signal sa site.

Kumuha kayo ng competent and knowledgeable staff na mag-iinstall ng service. Wag masyado iasa sa mga di marunong na contractors. ( charge nyo kaya sa mga contractor na to lahat ng mga palpak na setup nila )

imbestigahan nyo yung mga humihingi ng additional 1K for the installation ( may kasabwat ata sa loob e )

salain nyo naman yung mga agents nyo sa Customer Support , sana yung magalang at alam kung ano ang mga sinasabi nila . Maraming walang trabaho na mas karapatdapat .

Dapat pag-aralan nyo kaya yung 1 yr lock up period. Di naman kaya masyado namang panggigipit sa tao yung ginagawa nyo? ( NTC and kung ano mang Govt Agencies concerned , wala ba kayong magagawa tungkol d2? ) paano kung ayaw namin maging part of their so called ” birth pains” of this kind of Service na binibigay nila?

Semana Santa na , i’ll include SMART company on my prayers! May the Good Lord touch your hearts and realise na sana maging fair tayo on our fellow Filipinos.

yan ang ginagamit kong username sa chat sa ventus. Iyakin nga ako kase madalas akong tinutukso nila. neway, I have some info regarding my work living in hell at VOCATIV VENTUS. I learned how to deal people directly telling the whole lie of the system. This focus the opening spiel until the closing spiel. The whole troubleshooting are done but the connectivity seems does not improve on the clients side. I wonder how this product have been distributed in the market without passing the ISO 9001, considering the service quality were still beyond zero and the product yet don’t know how to operate properly even by their own MANAGEMENT. Please be advised that this product were not met its STANDARDS, QUALITY AND SERVICE, but the monthly bills are still their concern.

Nakakasawa narin mag reklamo sa mabagal na connection natin!!! Wala din naman action ginagawa tong smart at NTC. By October this year halos matatapos na lahat ang mga kontrata ng subscribers nila, ma solve na rin problema natin sa wakas , dahil mag sisi alis na sa smart ang mga subscribers..heheheheheh…Wala na rin problema smart pati customers wala na yahooo!!!

Nyak,,, ang lulupit nyo,, Pero puta talaga ang smart. Talagang la na nahiya sa service nila, pero on time ang bill huh. puta talaga… Pati nga costumer service nila mga puta eh, laging hang-up sa akin. Mabait pa nga ako sa kanila, I just asked them Pwede bang magpadisconnect right now through you. Disconnect agad ang call ko. Why kaya? 5 times ng ganun sila… LOL

Remember yung commercial sa TV na isang chick na nagda-download ng mp3 songs na sumisigaw na,YESSS! YESSS! THAT WAS FAAASST!!! I really do not know kung bakit nya nasabi yun? Cguro nag-finger muna ng kanyang kepz sa sobrang bagal ng download speed at saka nilabasan kaya napa-ire ng YESSS! THAT WAS FAAASSST!!! To HELL with you all SMART and PLDT!!! mga MANLOLOKO! naisahan nyo ko mga punyeta kayo!.. u know what I’ll do something crazy at least pra makaganti ako sa mga bobong tao dyan sa smart…..kukunin ko lahat ng advertisment banner ng wifi dito sa lugar namin “Cagayan de Oro” at iuuwi ko ng bahay at ipamimigay ko sa mga sikad driver samin o kaya Ipagtitirik ko nalang kayo ng kandila….

ei folks, just wanted you all to know that the email address of NTC right now is ch****@ntc.gov.ph

mail away! i’ve already sent 3 emails since yesterday. my problem is that everynight around 8 up to 7 in the morning i have no connection. try to do the repair thing and it cannot renew ip address. anyone have a different explanation for this or is it simply the because of the poor service of smart?

potang Inang SMART!!! Kahit walang nakitang cellsite d2 sa amin KABIT parin. Lock down kapa ng 1 year. Sa mga hindi pa nag pakabit sa POTANG WIFI nayan. Wag nyo 2loy. Sayang ang pera nyo. On time pa bill. Tae!

smart wifi really sucks…minsan na nga lang ako mag connect..palagi pang walang connection…last week ang sabi technical activity.. ngayong week yung daw cellsite ang problema.. ano ba tlga.. hindi na naubusan ng rason ang mga tech support nila.. nag palit nako ng Lan Card akala ko kse yun ang problema.. pero pag testing ko sa notebook ganun din.. so talagang may problema sila.. mag iipon lang ako ng pambala jan sa smart wifi… at susundin ko advice ni jennette G..

Hi there again. I also sent emails twice last week to NTC containing my complaint regarding the poor service of Smart WiFi. Twice, my emails bounced off. NTC must provide access so that it can better serve the public. I hope NTC is not experiencing a connection problem too. Otherwise, the public might think that it is also using Smart WiFi.

Another development on my case….

After sending an email today to the person that the Smart Wireless Center referred me to informing him that NTC is scheduling a mediation on my case, I got a call just now from Smart (2838). They asked if anybody from their Technical Group had contacted me and if I would still be willing to continue with the service if they have fixed the issue.

I told them that I am no longer interested since I have already signed up with a DSL provider in our locality. I believe that the Smart Wifi people are not so willing to go through the mediation process at all for one reason or another. Probably afraid of any repercussion from NTC.

I urge everyone to try the route I took and send feedback to this site if the steps could be further improved/enhanced.

To all disgruntled Smart Wifi Subscribers:

These are the things you need to do to make your case solid:
1. At the time that you realized that you don’t have any connection, call Smart Service Center right away. Jot down date and time of call and person you spoke to. Ensure also that you jot down the resolution that the representative promised you.

2. Do not forget to request for rebate for any service interruption. Again, jot down the time, date and person you talked to when you made the request.

3. If you have decided that you had enough trouble and would like to discontinue the service, go to the nearest Smart Wireless Center to state the request. Check with the customer representative if all your previous complaints are in their records. DO NOT FORGET TO REQUEST SMART TO WAIVE THE PRETERMINATION CHARGES.

4. Most likely, Smart Wireless Center people will not act on this request since they will forward it to another outfit that really handles this part of their operations. Make sure to get an email address where you can formally state your termination request. Send the email and keep it in file.

5. If you have received no action on this email (give it at least 2 weeks), send a letter of complaint to NTC (nt****@ntc.gov.ph). Also, write in the feedback form of the NTC website regarding your troubles with Smart Wifi.

6. If you have not received any reply from either party and you have ensured that you have documented your case really well, call MS. BRIONES of NTC (02-922-4084). She is in charge of handling Smart Wifi complaints.

7. According to Ms. Briones, she will set up a mediation meeting between Smart Wifi representative and you where complaints will be heard and actioned (hopefull).

I haven’t reached stage 7 yet but I’m documenting all these steps so that all of you guys who are gnashing their teeth and pulling their hair due to frustration will have a more logical way of going about this.

I hope the above helps. Will post any development later. Abangan.

I’ve had only one downtime since my subscription in October 25, 2005. We live in Makati (near Pasay already) and the surfing speed is quite fast. So maybe the problem is just the location of the antenna or something.

ei mga pipol…sakn wala namang problem kc malapit lang me sa cellsite ng smart,,3rd floor pa yung haus namin hir sa las piñas kya tanaw na tanaw ng antenna ko yung cellsite,,,,ang plan ko is 256Kbps,,,3 PC’s ang napoprovide ng sakin…hehehe ayos nga e..tlagang sulit.!!!.xguro nga yung mga hindi na inaabot ng fon lines malayo na din yun sa cellsites…ganun lang pagkakaintindi ko dun ah….SMART sana mg upgrade pa kayo para yung ibang nhihirapan sa service nyo ay maging ok na………….(“,)kaya pra sakn SMART”simply amazing”

My dear Co-Bloggers,

So musta na Kayo lahat?, “long time no write” nako dito eh, ehe since awa ng Dios eh naayos ng NTC ang problema ko sa SMART Microwave internet na yan!

Guys, I hope you will really heed my advice na sulatan ang NTC (nt****@ntc.gov.ph) at sabihin ang lahat ng details nyo, be as honest and detailed as possible ha kasi isesend nila ung letter nyo mismo sa SMART eh at titignan kung totoo.

Good luck at God bless sa inyo na magpapadala palang ng letter sa NTC.

Sya nga po pala, bukod sa hindi nako pinagbayad ng termination fee eh natanggap ko narin ung full refund ko na P1,988 from the SMARt wireless center. Basta ba isuli nyo ng kumpleto ung antenna or equipments nyo eh. Mismong manager pa ng SMART ang nag-assist sa problem ko at prinioritize dahil nga sinulatan ko NTC at sinabon sila.

Awa ng Dios eh masaya na ang aking Bagong taon, at naibalik pa ung pera ko. hayy. sana lang eh makahanap naman ako ng stable pero mura na broadband ayaw ko na ng PLDT o SMART me phobia nako jan. Sayang di available Globelines dito sa Soldiers Hills, Alabang eh. baka Cable Internet nalang. ok kaya un?

Dibale mag-research muna ako para hindi na ako maperwisyo at maloko ng tulad ng SMART Microwave nayan ehe.

Sama sama natin email ang NTC nt****@ntc.gov.ph sa Dec. 24 para malaman nila ang ginagawa ng Smart Wifi. Para sa atin din itong mga kinakawawa, iniisahan, at niloloko ng smart wifi.

At least a good start for bringing some attention to all those crappy services in the philippines…

I have an Info that there was a 3-day cell site access blackout in the visayas region of smart services. A friend told me a whole neighborhood got a “no network” on their smart phones, and couldnt make a call. A rumor though not confirmed is that smart is trying to upgrade to 3G shutting down some systems on the onset…

BTW any chance you can give me a tip how I can monitor replies on a thread I commented on?
