Windows XP Sucks
PC Problems
Just installed Windows XP Pro on my PC last night. Got irritated when my PC hang several times while detecting hardware devices. Something is really wrong with my rig. Anyways, I got through all the trouble when it finally finished the whole setup in about an hour. I felt relieved at last! But then, alas, my files and settings weren’t included in the migration. What duh! Have to find those lost e-mail messages and other important files. grrrrrrr!
Over shot
Boy! I don’t even want to remember what happened last night. Or even think of how many shots I had and whatever I did or say afterwards. I must have been dead drunk or just dead. My apologies to all. It’ll never happen again.
Company Cookfest
The company cookfest went quite well, at least I think it did. It took me 4 hours to cook all 8 one-pounder milfish for relyeno. Half of them darn bangus burst into smithereens before making it to the dinner table. I just discovered though that rolling them into corn starch or baking powder prevents the skin from bursting and ruining the whole thing. Later that night, I must have too much drink that I had to go back to office to take a hot shower before going back home. Actually, I’m still here. The drinks that I had - vodka, white wine, Carlsberg, Black Russian, gin, tequila, Bailey’s and what not - are all mixed up inside my stomach. Argh! ![]()
Flash Kung Fu
Here’s a newer version of that Flash Kung Fu (1.62 MB) animation. It’s pretty cool with zoom-ins and slow motions. Then, a few minutes ago, a lady officemate sent me this Dancing King (1.46MB) asking me if it’s true or not (check if it’s really Freddie Prinze too). I have to post a disclaimer though, this clip is Rated R.
Wayback Machine
The Internet Archive: Building an ‘Internet Library’ The Internet Archive, working with Alexa Internet, has created the Wayback Machine. The Wayback Machine makes it possible to surf pages stored in the Internet Archive’s web archive. This is cool! I tried using the search to look for old webpages and wham!
Miss Guarico
I got this video clip of Miss Guarico in a pageant revealing everything but the skin. I assure you, it’s worth waiting the download. (size: 1.8MB) ![]()
Magic The Gathering
As expected, the day was filled with bottomless iced tea and Magic Card tourneys. My “Black Weeny” deck barely survived the crashing Red-Green Cheesy deck of the cruel opponent. I’ll get back to you someday! On another note, I got a cummulative score of 879 on Virtual GM at NBA.com as of today. I’m still catching up with the rest of the ten (10) leaders on top. By the way, visit 2Advanced Studios for great Flash animations.
Magic Cards
The whole day at the office was such a waste caput mortuum. Nothing productive really; just played Magic Cards with some officemates, hang out at the office pantry with a mug of mochachino or some iced tea, surfed the net for hours and made updates on the site. I wish I had more of this. =)
Then, after office, I passed by Greenhills to check out some rare stuffs. I was shock to find out that almost all the stalls there were empty, as if a typhoon swept them all away. What could have happened to them?!
