A Day in the Life of Yuga

I woke up late, not really that late since it’s still before lunch. Couldn’t sleep the whole night looking at my pad messy and all. Made some long awaited clean-up and fixin’. Alas, I was awaken a few minutes ago by a call from my youngest brother. Not again, why don’t they just tell me good news - I hate to hear bad news, makes me cringe to my stomach.

Now that I am back in the working mood, I’m stuck with tons of projects lagging behind. I spent the whole day focused on the left-overs. Have to finish before the day ends. This is what you get when you’re out of focus - when you get on track, you’ve got pile loads to get back.

I suppose some of you have noticed why I haven’t posted anything that happened to me since the 10th of this month. Well, it’s just that I feel I had to tell them to you guys personally and not just post it here. So far, work is a bit harsh ‘coz we’re behind schedule already. We had a team night out on the 12th since it was an anniversary of the older batch and we went videoke at Megamall. Of course, not to be left behind is yours truly. I must have sang half of the song on thw two hours that we had. Then, a one-on-one billiards with an officemate before going home capped the night.

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolade and certificates are buried with their owners.
