Lenovo K6 Note

+ Higher screen resolution

+ Higher rear camera resolution

DISPLAY

Looking at their displays, the K6 Note has a higher screen resolution, but the rest of the specs are pretty much identical with the Zenfone 4 Max. If we are to look at the user’s viewing experience, we can definitely say that the former is the better choice here.

CPU AND GPU

For CPU and GPU, both smartphones possess the same chipset, which is the Snapdragon 430 CPU and Adreno 505 GPU. In terms of performance, the SD 430 is decent for low-tier to mid-range devices. It gives relatively smooth performance for day-to-day tasks and navigation. The Adreno 505 GPU can run low-to-mid graphics-heavy games without any stutters or frame dropping.

CAMERA

In the camera department, they have different types of setups. The Zenfone 4 Max has a dual-camera setup with a wide-angle lens for better area coverage while the K6 Note has a single rear camera lens but with a higher resolution. In the front camera, both of them have the same camera resolution but the former is equipped with an additional LED flash.

We do not have sample shots for the K6 Note since we do not have a review unit, but, for the Zenfone 4 Max, here are the sample shots we took.

BATTERY

As for battery capacity, it is without a doubt that the Zenfone 4 Max wins but let us not count the K6 Note out, because it still has a larger battery compared with most mid-rangers out on the market.

We have no test results for the battery life performance of the K6 Note but, when we tested the Zenfone 4 Max, the device lasted for 16 Hours and 30 Minutes. We can say that the K6 Note will probably have a lower battery life, but it will last longer than most mid-range smartphones.

OVERALL PERFORMANCE

It is a draw in terms of overall performance since both smartphones carry the same chipset, however, the K6 Note wins in terms of viewing quality while the Zenfone 4 Max wins in the battery life performance aspect.

PRICE

The ASUS Zenfone 4 Max is priced at Php9,995 (see price listing here) while the Lenovo K6 Note is priced at Php11,999 (see price listing here)
