Display

When it comes to the display, you can expect the same quality and experience from both devices since they have the same specs. We’re looking at a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a sharp 395ppi. The refresh rates are the same as well at 120Hz meaning you’ll get buttery smooth visuals from both. Protecting the screens on both devices is Gorilla Glass 5.

Chipset

The two devices differ when it comes to their chipsets. The Plus model uses a MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G with an octa-core CPU with a max clock speed of 2.5GHz, and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. The non-Plus model, on the other hand, has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G with an octa-core CPU with a max clock speed of 2.2GHz, and an Adreno 619 GPU. Both are manufactured using the 6nm process.

To see if there are any significant differences in performance, let’s take a look at their benchmarks.

Geekbench 5• 747 (Single-Core)

3D Mark• 1,961 (Wild Life)
• 581 (Wild Life Extreme)
• 1,189 (Wild Life)
• 361 (Wild Life Extreme)

Looking at the results, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G scored higher in Geekbench 5, and 3D Mark, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G scored higher in AnTuTu and PC Mark. But even then, the difference in scores is not that significant. But we can say that both are powerful chipsets capable of running moderate to heavy tasks, including gaming.

Memory and Storage

The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G in the Philippines comes in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, on the other hand, only comes in 8GB + 128GB. If you want the biggest storage possible, get the former. Both also have UFS 2.2 storage types and expandable storage via microSD using the hybrid slot.

Cameras

When it comes to cameras, the two are also identical. We’re looking at a triple-rear configuration consisting of a 108MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro. For selfies, we’re getting a 16MP shooter. However, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G supports 4K video recording at 30fps, unlike the Note 11 Pro 5G which only has 1080p at 30fps.

Connectivity and Features

Both devices have dual-SIM, 5G connectivity, NFC, GPS, USB-C, IR blasters, and 3.5mm audio jacks. They also have side-mounted fingerprints scanners, stereo speakers (the Plus version has speakers tuned by JBL), and IP53 dust and water resistance. However, they differ in a couple of wireless technologies as the Note Pro+ 5G has the newer WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, compared to the Note Pro 5G’s WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1.

Battery

If you’re looking at capacity, the Note 11 Pro 5G has a larger 5,000mAh with 67W fast charging. However, the Note 11 Pro+ 5G, although with its smaller 4,500mAh capacity, can charge quicker with its 120W fast charge.

Also, the Note 11 Pro+ 5G performed better in our battery test with 23 hours and 46 minutes of playback, versus the Note 11 Pro 5G’s 22 hours and 30 minutes of playback.

Price

The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB is priced at PHP 19,999 and PHP 21,999, respectively. While the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G 8GB + 128GB is priced at PHP 15,999.

Which one to get?

If budget is an issue, the easiest choice is the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. You’ll get a nice AMOLED display, a powerful chipset, hi-res cameras, and a big battery.

However, if you can stretch your budget and add an extra PHP 4K, you can go for the base Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G and get 4K video recording, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, JBL-tuned speakers, and more powerful fast charging. If you want to double the storage, you’ll have to shell out more for the 8GB + 256GB model.

And there you have it. We hope that this comparison has helped you make a decision in picking the right Redmi Note 11 Pro series smartphone. But in your opinion, which smartphone can provide you the best value for money, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G or the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G? Let us know in the comments below.

Well compared. Despite the fact that 11 pro is cheaper, I rather go for 11 pro plus because of its battery fast charging and larger storage capacity (256) .

Nice compilation of the features of two phones and great comparison, thank you. Basically, there is not a huge difference between them. What confused me is that I always thought that Snapdragon is much better than anything else, but it seems that Mediatec Dimensity is also doing a great job, isn’t it? Last quest is, are they overheating when used multiple apps simultaneously? As far as I know, people complain overheating on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 phones…
