Acer, in partnership with Marvel, recently launched in the Philippines their latest laptop offerings, the Avengers: Infinity War Limited Edition laptops. One of them is the Acer Swift 3: Iron Man Edition. So if you’re contemplating in getting this lappy, we’re giving you 5 reasons why you should.
1) Iron Man-inspired Design
One of the obvious features and main attraction of this laptop is its Iron Man-inspired design. While most laptops feature boring colors and looks, this one will definitely catch everyone’s attention. Like Iron Man’s armor color scheme, the body comes in red, or Hot Rod Red, as Tony Stark Puts it, with gold trimmings that are evident in the hinge, keyboard keys, and trackpad. The lid is printed with Iron Man’s Arc Reactor design, which gives an impression that it lights up when in use. The lid where the Arc Reactor design is located, is covered with an acrylic sheet that provides a glossy effect. The keyboard deck is also solid as a rock with minimal flex on all sides. The hinges too, are well-made as the display panel can even lay flat on a table. So not only does the Swift 3: Iron Man Edition looks good, it is also well-made.
3) Fingerprint scanner w/ Windows Hello
Security is an important aspect of a machine like the Swift 3 so it totally makes sense that Acer equipped it with a fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello Technology which gives users an option for a password-free sign-in which is a faster and more secure way of unlocking your Windows device.
4) 8th-gen Intel Core CPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD
Powering the device is Intel’s latest 8th Generation i5-8250U processor paired with an NVIDIA MX150 GPU and 8GB of RAM. Performance should be okay when doing light to moderate tasks and gaming will even be possible to some degree, so is video and photo editing. Other specs include Windows 10 and a 4-cell 48Whr battery.
5) Plenty of ports
Maximized productivity is one of the focus of the Swift 3, so we’re glad to see plenty of ports in it. We have an HDMI port, a USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and a combo audio port. There’s Kensington lock as well, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, and a SD card reader. So if you’re planning to bring this in the office and need to connect plenty of peripherals, you don’t need worry as this laptop can handle it.
