5 reasons why the New Nissan Navara VE should be your next pickup

Nissan recently brought to the Philippine market its updated Navara pickup. It’s got a refreshed design, powerful engine, and advanced tech. It comes in several variants, too, but what caught our attention is the Navara VE variant. Find out why we think that this should be your next pickup.

New macho exterior

Pickup trucks, in essence, are used for hauling things around. And given that purpose, the pickup trucks are expected to exude toughness and power. The new Nissan Navara VE excels in this area by sporting a new design.

It has a new face with a big interlock grille design, a quad projector LED lights with signature LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, large side mirrors with embedded LED turn indicators, and 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.

The rear gets a facelift, too, with LED tail lights with signature C-shape design and integrated bumper step, a Navara badge engraved on the tailgate, and tailgate assist for easy loading and unloading of cargo.

Those who have a specific look in mind can take advantage of the Navara VE’s exterior enhancing accessories offered in packages, which includes a fender garnish, rear tailgate garnish, rear lamp finisher, headlamp finisher, fuel gate garnish, over fender, door visor, door handle protector, kicking plate, and exhaust piper finisher.

Sum up all those parts and design, and you’ll get a pickup that looks macho, burly, and rugged. It exudes power and ready to tackle the off-road, but at the same time, it’s sleek, modern, and stylish, easily blending in the urban jungle.

Premium and stylish interior

While the exterior boasts a tough look, the interior is luxurious and comfortable with zero gravity-inspired front seats to make sure that your back and legs are completely supported to eliminate fatigue during long drives and a leather-wrapped steering wheel for better grip and premium feel. It also has a spacious passenger cabin, so three people can easily fit and relax.

Powerful engine

To match the macho exterior and premium interior, the new Nissan Navara VE is powered by a 2.5-L direct-injection turbocharged diesel engine with a maximum horsepower of 190 PS / 3,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 450 N-M / 2,000 rpm, mated to 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission.

The Nissan Navara VE is also equipped with a rear multi-link suspension with a dual-rate coil spring to absorb those bumps for a smoother ride off-road or in the city, whether you’re carrying heavy cargo or not. And for stopping power, it has ventilated discs on the front and drum brakes at the back.

Packed with tech

The Nissan Navara VE is also packed with technology to improve the driving experience and ensure safety. For starters, it’s equipped with Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM), which is the company’s user-friendly driving assistance technology that works like your extra pair of eyes and ears on the road.

It also has a reverse camera; Hill Start Assist (HSA); Hill Descent Control (HDC) (for VE 4×4), and 6 SRS airbags to keep you and your passengers safe. The Navara VE has Intelligent Forward Collision Warning with Intelligent Emergency Braking the monitors your speed and distance from the car in front and lets you know when you need to slow down. It automatically engages the brakes to help avoid a collision or lessen the severity of the impact.

Connectivity-wise, the steering wheel is packed with easy-to-reach controls for audio, taking hands-free calls, and cruise control. It is also equipped with an 8-inch Nissan Advanced Display Audio System with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch Advanced Driver Assist Display, which is a colored LCD multi-information display, four USB charging ports with one USB-C for faster charging, and Dual-Zone Digital Climate Control System with rear vents.

Nissan 5-Year Warranty

To give owners peace of mind, the new Nissan Navara VE comes with a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty (whichever comes first), which is longer than most competition. The first 3 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes first) covers mechanical and electrical parts and body & paint and accessories (terms and conditions apply). Nissan, however, extends the coverage of the mechanical and electrical parts for another 2 years or 50,000 km (whichever comes first).

As you can see, the new Nissan Navara VE ticks all the boxes for a top-notch pickup. It’s got the striking looks, premium interior, best-in-class engine output, advanced technologies, and ownership advantage thanks to the 5-year warranty. That’s amazing value right there.
