6 Best Features of the Honor 10 Lite

At first glance, you wouldn’t easily recognize that this is a sibling of the Honor 10. With a small notch, fingerprint scanner at the back, and a little more full-screen display, the Honor 10 Lite packs a few notable features from the higher Honor 10.

For a mid-ranger, it offers pretty good specs like the new EMUI 9.0 (based on Android 9), 24MP AI front camera, and Honor’s GPU Turbo Tech. And so far in our 3-day experience with the Honor 10 Lite, here are its top features:

Glaring design

Color gradient designs aren’t new anymore and even so, we’ve seen it with the Honor 10 too. However, there’s something we like about how the gradient of the 10 Lite is applied, it’s glaring! Take note that In the Philippines, it will be available in Sky Blue, Midnight Black.

It’s also good to know that it has a smaller notch and chin, moving the fingerprint scanner at the back compared to the Honor 10’s scanner in its chin.

24MP AI Selfies

There’s no doubt that the 10 Lite produces vivid selfies, and you can spice your self-portraits with its AR lens, pro, portrait mode, panorama, filters, HDR, beauty level, and stickers that automatically plays some tunes when you use them. Take a look at our sample photos:

13MP + 2MP rear cameras

We can say that the rear shooters are smart. The AI can easily detect what it’s subject is, and at night it’s clear thanks to its Night Mode together with other nifty features like light painting.

EMUI 9.0 (based on Android 9)

You’ll get to explore Android 9 Pie as the 10 Lite is skinned with the new software system EMUI 9.0. You’ll still get that Honor/Huawei feel but in a more minimalist design to get that FullView display.

GPU Turbo

Gaming? Just like the Honor Play, Honor 8X, and other specific Honor devices, the Honor 10 Lite will give users an improved gaming experience with GPU Turbo. This feature aims to improve the efficiency of GPU graphics processing and stable gaming experience with a high frame rate.

AI-Enhanced Calls

Honor has an AI-enabled mobile communication technology that improves the call quality even in areas with weak signals. This technology recognizes if a user has entered or left an elevator, and within three seconds the phone quickly recovers to a 4G signal. Speaking of which, the Honor 10 Lite still keeps a headphone jack and that’s good.

The Honor 10 Lite is an improved Honor 10 at a lower price. Of course, expect the cut-off specs like a lower chipset and memory, but surely you’ll get what you’ll pay for. The Honor 10 Lite is priced at CNY 1,399 (~PHP 10,536.48) for the 4GB + 64GB model, CNY 1,699 (~PHP 12,795.91) for the 6GB + 64GB, and CNY 1,899 (~PHP 14,302.19) for the 6GB + 128GB.

Watch out for the official price in the Philippines coming January 22 on the product launch.
