Well, it seems like Apple doesn’t want the spotlight all to Samsung as there is now officially a case of its iPhone 7 Plus burnt due to a malfunction in the handset.
The report (and photos) came from Reddit user “kroopthesnoop” who has a coworker that ordered a matte black iPhone 7 Plus and upon opening, saw a charred smartphone. This means that the device exploded inside the box before opening so at least no one was harmed. It also implied that this happened while the iPhone 7 was being delivered.
“Something happened between the factory and delivery,” said the person who posted it.
According to the updated Reddit post, an Account Executive from Apple’s Texas offices reached out to him asking for information and later on called the owner of the phone to say that they will work with AT&T to “expedite a replacement phone”.

article said it was matte black, fake or not, it’s still too early to come to a conclusion, might as well wait for official announcements.

Samsung, then Apple; I don’t think battery lang ang culprit nito. All those chips and hardware modules should be taken into account. What if it is a specific hardware that is causing the battery to overheat and combust? Batteries can and are known to explode that’s a given but they don’t do so without some kind of “trigger”.
