Pop-up cameras aren’t only found in mid-range smartphones, but they’ve also started to, dare we say, pop up even in flagship handsets. It’s all due to the growing want of consumers to have that full-screen, bezel-less display experience. Here are some flagship devices, released this 2019, that sport a pop-up camera.

First launched in May, the K20 Pro boasts a 6.39-inch display, with a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB/8GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB/156GB of storage. It comes with a triple rear camera setup composed of 48MP + 13MP + 8MP snappers, while in the elevating structure has a 20MP shooter. Other features include a USB-C port, NFC support, and 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.

In September, the K20 Pro received a relaunch in the form of an upgraded version called the K20 Pro Premium. It comes equipped with a Snapdragon 855+ chipset, 8GB/12GB RAM, and 128GB/512GB storage. Apart from those, it retains the same specs as that of the K20 Pro.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro is the global version of the Redmi K20 Pro, and it arrived in the Philippines last September. It features pretty much the same specs as the K20 Pro, with its 6.39-inCH AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB/8GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB/156GB of storage, 48MP + 13MP + 8MP rear camera setup, and 20MP pop-up snapper.

Realme Philippines

ASUS launched its latest flagship, the Zenfone 6, in May 2019. It sports a flip camera module, with its 48MP + 13MP snappers acting as both the rear and front cameras. The Zenfone 6 comes equipped with a 6.4-inch display, Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64GB/128GB/256GB UFS 2.1 storage.  The Zenfone 6 also has a special Edition 30 variant that has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Other features include NFC support, USB-C port, and a 5,000mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0 technology.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom

OPPO’s flagship smartphone, the Reno 10x Zoom, features a 6.6-inch screen, coupled with Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB/256GB UFS 2.1 storage. On the rear sits a 48MP + 13MP + 8MP triple camera setup, while housed in its shark-fin pop-up module is a 16MP front camera. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, NFC support, USB-C port, and 4,065mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge 3.0

Vivo NEX 3

First unveiled in China, Vivo’s NEX 3 flagship smartphone sports the company’s Waterfall FullView panel, measuring at 6.89-inches. It runs on Snapdragon 855+, combined with 8GB/12GB RAM, and 128GB UFS 3.0 storage. Housed on the back is a 64MP + 13MP + 13MP triple cameras while residing in its pop-up mechanism is a 16MP camera. The NEX 3 also has NFC support, a USB-C port, and a 4,500mAh battery with 44W Super FlashCharge technology.

OnePlus 7 Pro / OnePlus 7T Pro

OnePlus’ latest flagships come equipped with pop-up front camera mechanisms. Both smartphones have a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, 8GB/12GB RAM, 256GB storage, 48MP + 16MP + 8MP triple-rear cameras, 16MP pop-up front camera. There are key differences between them, such as the 7 Pro sporting an FHD+ resolution, while the 7T Pro supports QHD+. Snapdragon 855 runs on the 7 Pro, and Snapdragon 855+ powers up the 7T Pro. Battery-wise, both have a Warp Charge 30T feature but differ in capacities as the 7 Pro has a 4,000mAh cell, while the 7T Pro has a 4,085mAh cell.
