Samsung Galaxy S8 Active confirmed by FCC

A rugged variant of Samsung’s flagship device has just passed through the FCC, confirming that it’s well on its way for a formal launch.

Previously, the S8 Active has appeared on Geekbench revealing some of its specs. It will reportedly run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 octa-core CPU with Adreno 540 GPU. There should also be 4GB of RAM with Android 7.1 embedded at its core.

We’ve seen a possible image of the S8 Active and it touts an LG G6-looking physique with its tall form factor and the absence of dual-curved display. Do expect for it to carry a larger battery since this has been the formula of Samsung. It won’t be too long until we finally see the rugged sibling of the S8 so stay tuned as we wait for more details.
