Angkas to accept credit card payments soon

Angkas is going cashless soon to limit interaction between its drivers and customers.

As posted by the motorcycle taxi app on its Facebook page, Angkas riders will soon accept credit card payments.

It did not specify the services that will be covered in the new payment scheme. However,  it hinted that cashless transactions via credit card will start sometime in September 2020.

Even before the pandemic began, Angkas has been accepting only cash payment from its customers.  The current available Angkas services are Angkas Padala, as well as Angkas Pabili, which allows bikers to pick up items for customers on partner merchants within Metro Manila and Metro Cebu. It also offers free rides for healthcare frontliners.
