Apple has introduced its newest MacBook Pro carrying an 8th-Gen or 9th-Gen Intel 8-Core processors which is a first for the company.
Previous MacBook Pros only has a 6-core processor which is said to have 40% less performance than the new 8-core processors. The 15-inch display variant still has a 6-core model but the 8-core configuration goes up to 5.0GHz clock speed. The 13-inch variant with Touch Bar comes with a quad-core processor up to 4.7GHz. Overall, they sport a Retina display (500 nits), stereo speakers with wide-stereo sound, Touch ID, Touch Bar, Force Touch trackpad, SSD, Apple T2 Security Chip, Thunderbolt 3 ports, and a macOS Mojave operating system out-of-the-box.
Here are the prices of the updated MacBook Pro variants:
- 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar –Â USD 1,799Â (~PHP 94,502)
- 15-inch MacBook Pro –Â USD 2,399 (~PHP 126,020)
Both devices are now available for purchase through Apple’s website, Apple Store app, and in select Apple Stores in the US. Authorized Resellers will also get the laptops later this week.
Local pricing is also available in the online PH Apple Store… the 15-inch model starts at 150k. Pretty sad really since the base 15-inch was almost sub-100k at one point.
