Apple has announced the release of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for the iPad leveraging on its multi-touch capabilities. Both apps will be available through the App Store as subscription service starting May 24.

Final Cut Pro for iPad
Final Cut Pro for iPad introduces a touch interface and intuitive tools that allow video creators to record, edit, finish, and share from one portable device.
With Live Drawing, users can draw and write directly on top of video content using Apple Pencil, while Pro Camera Mode allows video creators to shoot high-quality video in portrait or landscape orientation and manually control settings like focus, exposure, and white balance.
Multicam video editing enables users to automatically synchronize and edit clips together, and users can switch angles in a multicam clip with a single touch.
Final Cut Pro for iPad also includes tools for machine learning to speed up time-consuming editing tasks.
Users can import compatible media from their Files or Photos, and directly save it inside a Final Cut Pro project.
Final Cut Pro for iPad also allows importing projects created in iMovie for iOS and exporting Final Cut Pro projects to Mac.
Logic Pro for iPad
Logic Pro for iPad is an all-in-one professional music creation app that combines the power of Logic Pro with the portability of iPad.
With Multi-Touch gestures, music creators can play software instruments and interact naturally with controls and navigate complex projects with pinch-to-zoom and swipe-to-scroll.
Logic Pro on iPad comes with a vast collection of realistic-sounding instruments and powerful synths and features a sound browser that uses dynamic filtering to help music creators find the perfect sound whenever they need it.
It also includes professional instruments, effect plug-ins, beat making and production tools, and a pro mixer.
Similar to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro for iPad allows users to export and move projects between Logic Pro for Mac and iPad.
Additionally, Logic Pro for iPad supports the ability to open projects created in GarageBand for iOS.
Price, availability and compatibility
Both apps will be available on the App Store via subscription starting May 24 for USD 4.99 per month or USD 49 per year with a one-month free trial.
Final Cut Pro is compatible to iPad models with M1 chip or newer, while Logic Pro is available on iPad models with an A12 Bionic chip or later.
Both apps also require iPad devices to be running iPadOS 16.4.
