Apple has launched its service program for the 3rd-gen iPad Air units affected by the blank screen issue.
Apple has determined that the screen on a limited number of iPad Air (3rd generation) devices may go blank permanently. A brief flicker or flash may appear before the screen goes blank.
The company says that the affected devices were manufactured between March 2019 and October 2019. An Apple Authorized Service Provider will service eligible devices, free of charge.
The program covers affected iPad Air (3rd generation) devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the unit.
