ASUS outs X560UD budget gaming laptop for Philippines

ASUS Philippines just released a budget-oriented gaming laptop with a rather unique design — the X560UD. Powered by up to Intel’s 8th gen core i7 processor and Nvidia’s GTX 1050. That’s not the clincher though, as it is quite possibly the cheapest GTX 1050 laptop locally.

The ASUS X560UD is encased in a 15.6-inch chassis with a Full HD 60hz Anti-glare NanoEdge IPS display. It can be outfitted with up to 16GB of RAM, a 1TB HDD, and a 256GB SSD.

What’s unique about the laptop though is that it has a blue and black color scheme rather than the common red and black and ASUS revamped the entire laptop’s design philosophy.

These are U-series CPUs which are designed to be power efficient and put in thin & light notebooks. Usually gaming laptops have the H or HQ series CPUs. This explains the low price. (Don’t get me wrong, the 8550U is plenty powerful in its own right)

Too good to be true, I hope there’s no big caveat to the low price.
Review please and comparison to other cheap gtx1050 laptop. Thank you.

It’s only using the ULV processors (not the HQs) that’s why they’re cheap. Maybe the screen is also mediocre as they didn’t mention the display’s sRGB coverage. Those are just for light to moderate media consumption and gaming i guess, not for pure productivity (i.e. Photoshop, video editing etc.). But yeah an in-depth review would be nice. Add a little more cash and you can get a decent one, like the Asus ROG GL503 which is an awesome laptop.

      It said – 15.6″ (16:9) LED backlit FHD (1920×1080) 60Hz Anti-Glare Panel with 45% NTSC with 178? wide-viewing angle display – in their local website though. (https://www.asus.com/ph/Laptops/X560UD/specifications/)
