Atari has revealed that it is working on a new game console which it says took “years in the making.”
In an interview with GamesBeat, Atari CEO Fred Chesnais confirmed that the company is working on a new game console that it is based on PC technology. As for the name, it could be called the “Atari Box” as suggested on the product’s website.
A teaser video was also recently uploaded which gives a glimpse of its design. It looks like it would feature a wooden finish with a glossy metallic grille. The design seems like a nod to the design of the Atari Video Computer System or Atari 2600.
