Canon PowerShot ZOOM now official

Canon U.S.A., Inc. officially unveiled its first telephoto monocular, the Canon PowerShot ZOOM.

The Canon PowerShot ZOOM sports 100mm, 400mm, and 800mm telephoto viewing capabilities with a one-touch switch. It is equipped with an instant zoom to help users view subjects even from afar. Moreover, it can transfer images and videos to a micro SD card. The files can also be downloaded by pairing it with a compatible smart device or via the Canon Camera Connect app.

The PowerShot ZOOM telephoto monocular captures image at 12MP, gives autofocus when viewing through the electronic viewfinder (EVF), and records images and video with face tracking. It has Optical Image Stabilization for shake correction and full HD video recording up to 30p.

For connectivity, the device is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It supports USB-C for charging and has a micro SD memory card slot.

The Canon PowerShot ZOOM is available in White. It is set to launch in late November 2020 for an estimated retail price of USD 299.99. You may visit the official Canon website for more information.
