DJI drones and cameras now available at MSI-ECS

If you’ve been looking for DJI‘s cameras and drones (especially the always out-of-stock Mavic Pro), MSI-ECS is the newest authorized distributor of such gear.

The Phantom 4 Pro+ was demonstrated for the media.

MSI-ECS will carry DJI’s array of shooting equipment from the foldable Mavic Pro, the iconic Phantom series, the Inspire 2 for professional filmmakers, and the handheld gimbals from the Osmo lineup. Moreover, DJI products will be on shelves in more than 50 retail outlets in the consumer electronics, photography, hobbyist and lifestyle channels across the Philippines.

There were also different drones on display during the event. One of which is the recently-announced Matrice 200 which is an all-weather drone that can take on even near-freezing temperatures.

This drone isn’t your ordinary consumer product. It is an industrial tool made for search and rescue operations, inspection of constructions, and the likes. It has an IP43 rating which makes it capable of withstanding some rain without destroying its internals. Additionally, DJI boasts that its batteries can warm themselves up so performance isn’t affected when operated in cold temperatures.

Just like the Mavic Pro, the Matrice 200 can go as far as 7km in distance.  It is also capable of carrying gear up to 2kg and can fly for up to 38 minutes. It still isn’t available here in the Philippines as of now, but MSI-ECS said they will still expand the DJI models that they’ll carry in the future.

Additionally, the Phantom 4 Advanced that was launched last week is now available for pre-orders in the Philippines. To secure one for yourself, simply contact MSI-ECS.

That’s good there will be more channels to buy locally. I just hope the prices are competitive to online DJI prices advertised as with free shipping.
The new authorized DJI store in QC sells only refurbished units of old models e. g. Phantom 3, and the older models of P4.
What’s disappointing is they sell these refurbished units way higher than the same DJI refurbished units advertised on the official DJI store.
10k difference for example for P3S.
Another major disappointment is the DJI online for refurbished only ships to American customers.

Hello Jabon. There are major factors affecting the increase in pricing of drones bought locally. NTC permits, duties and taxes etc. The drones shipped from DJI online store might cause less initially, but when they arrive and you’d have to claim them from the post office to pay taxes, they end up costing you a lot more.
